How to colour flowers quickly with watercolour…

Last week on my YouTube live I played with the new Fragrant Flowers stamp set, colouring it in with my alcohol markers, but this week I wanted to demonstrate how to colour flowers quickly with watercolour, as we don’t always have the time to spend colouring so neatly. I hope this video and blog post will show you that you can achieve great effects really quickly! To learn more about watercolouring, and all the techniques and tips that I have, why not think about joining my watercolour cardmaking course. You can find all of the details and the link to […]

Colouring Flowers with Alcohol Markers…

One of my favourite things to do in my crafting life is colouring flowers with alcohol markers; I just love the effects that you can create and how beautiful they look when you are finished. It is also one of the techniques that I share on my Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker Course, along with blending different colours together too, like I have done in the project below. I am actually taking bookings for my next Stampin’ Blends course now, so why not head over to my page for more information, or to book your spot! I used the upcoming Fragrant […]

Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team 2023…

Well, this is a blog post I wasn’t really expecting to be able to write when I applied for the Stampin’ Up! Artisan Design Team back in May! I wouldn’t have applied if I didn’t think I stood a chance of being selected but when I got the phone call in August I must say I was pretty shocked, and as time went on, and I had to keep it a secret, the panic started to set in, lol. I know this news was first announced back in November, after On Stage in Vienna, but I wanted to wait until […]

Stampin’ Up! Co-ordinated Gift Packaging…

Hey everyone, I hope that you all had a lovely Christmas. I have been dying to share this project with you, my special co-ordinated gift packaging, but I decided to wait until after the big day, just on the off chance that the recipient were ever to visit my social media channels! I go to a weekly garden therapy group and last session I was lucky enough to be able to make this ever so pretty mini-wreath from dried summer flowers. I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them, and knew I was going to make […]

Inky Embossing Folder Technique – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop Dec’ 22…

I think I am a little bit obsessed with this inky embossing folder technique at the moment, but it is such a good one I can’t help but share it with you today. I have used the upcoming Queen Bee stamp set for this card, available to customers from the 5th January 2023 in the new Jan – Apr Mini Catalogue. I love the Tech 4 Stampers Academy, run by Louise Sims, our tech guru. Without her support I would not have this website and I would not be able to share my creations with you all in this way, […]

Watercolour Emboss Resist Technique…

I made these two cards using the watercolour emboss resist technique during my recent YouTube live video (8pm UK time on a Thursday if you ever want to join us!) and thought it would be nice to share them here, too, on my blog. This is such a lovely technique, which gives a really subtle but effective background, and works beautifully with the upcoming Dainty Delight bundle and Dainty Flowers DSP available in the new Jan – Jun Mini Catalogue and out for sale to customers on the 5th Jan 2023. The colours I used here are Pear Pizzazz, So […]

How to make a giant cracker….

I love the Cracker and Treat Box dies from the Stampin’ Up! Annual Catalogue and while the standard version is cute, it is a little small for a ‘proper’ gift, so I want to show you all how to make a giant cracker using exactly the same die set, some card and some paper. It’s much easier than you might think, and turned out a great size! All you need to do is cut four of the dies from the same colour cardstock and then watch my video for how to cut them down and pop them together. It doesn’t […]

How to make an Accordion Fold card…

I was lucky enough to receive lots of fabulous swaps while I was away in Vienna, but one caught my eye as soon as I saw it, because it’s such a fab fun fold card, so I am here today to show you how to make an Accordion Fold card using the upcoming By the Bay suite of products, available for customers to purchase from the 4th Jan 2023. I actually showed how to make the base of this card over on my YouTube live video this week, but what with also showing the new products that I had ordered […]
