This is the second blog post in a series of blog posts all about watercolour techniques, where today I will show you how to make striped watercolour backgrounds for cardmaking. You will find the other posts in the series by clicking here – Watercolour Techniques for Cardmaking I have used the same stamp set ‘Forever and Always’ by Stampin’ Up! for the whole series of posts, to try and keep the focus on the watercolour techniques. The biggest tip that I have for making striped watercolour backgrounds is to purchase the Stampin’ Up! water painters. They have a one with […]

I had some out on my desk last night and there was one sheet I looked at and thought “I will never use that”. But then I looked a little closer and saw the most gorgeous individual flowers so I took out my […]

When I wrote the heading for this post, I realised that most might think that these two things don’t go together. Using up our scraps to make a beautiful card for someone special? Really? Well, yes! You really can make a lovely card out of things that are just destined for the bin, and I am here to show you how. I also wanted to show you that some of the sets that we think are only for Valentine’s Day can be used year round. I absolutely love this sentiment from the Heartfelt set which reads “Being friends is better […]
I have been so blown away by the Stampin’ Up! January-June Mini Catalogue that I had almost forgotten about all of the amazing things in the Annual Catalogue…. almost!! After using the new Parisian Blossoms suite, I have a new favourite colour – Petal Pink. It is such a gorgeous shade, soft and gentle yet sophisticated too. I also love the new Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon (£6.50 for 9.1m) and the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels ( £5.50) so I decided to combine these new products with the Free as a Bird Stamp Set and the Bird Ballad DSP. I […]
