Hello and welcome to another Casually Crafting Blog Hop, where today I want to share how to create a field of Pink Pansies using the new Pansy Patch stamp set from Stampin’ Up! The Casually Crafting Design Team have been busy this month creating loads of project ideas for you to hop through – how exciting! We are a group of Independent Stampin’ Up Demonstrators who want to share our take on Casual Crafting with you, keeping things fun and achievable for all. To make this card I used one of my favourite techniques – masking. To create my ‘masks’ […]

A very girly birthday card…

I made this girly birthday card for my niece’s birthday, I think it will be just perfect for her even though she isn’t a particularly girly girl. I was working on a project for my return to in person classes and this paper was out on my desk, just calling to be used. It is absolutely stunning, and from the new Expressions in Ink Designer Series Papers. These papers are absolutely gorgeous, and mimic an alcohol effect style, without the mess or the need to buy and learn how to use alcohol inks. And they have the most beautiful gold […]

Handmade Home Decor – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop May ’21…

I am so excited to share my handmade home decor entry for this wonderful blog hop by the Tech 4 Stampers group. I know there are going to be some amazing projects for you in this hop, so settle down, get comfortable and be inspired. The challenge this month is a colour challenge, using all 5 of the new in colours, though really this isn’t a challenge, as they are all so gorgeous and work amazingly well together. I absolutely adore the new Pansy Patch stamps and Pansy Dies from Stampin’ Up! – they make such lovely projects and work […]

Join Stampin’ Up! today…

I want to write today about a fabulous promotion that you can take advantage of when you Join Stampin’ Up! today. But it isn’t so much the promotion that I want to focus on, if that makes sense! There are so many wonderful opportunities as a member of the Stampin’ Up! family and it is those that my mind goes to when I think of writing this post. But we’ll start with the offer, because I think most ‘demonstrators’ join for the discount – I know I certainly did!! During the month of May our normal ‘joining offer’ has had […]

Colouring Techniques Blog Hop by the Crafty Collaborators…

If you love to colour then this Colouring Techniques blog hop is definitely the one for you! Please do have a good look around and see all the techniques, tricks and tips that we have got in store for you today. I have used my trusty Stampin’ Blends for this card today, I wanted to do something that I rarely see done and that is to use the blends to colour in the background, not just the main image. This can be a little tricky to do without getting a streaky look but I am going to try and help […]

How to assemble the Pansy Dies from Stampin’ Up!

I remember buying a set of orchid builder dies in my first year as a demonstrator, and never using them because I couldn’t figure out how to put them together easily, so I really want to share with you today how to assemble the Pansy Dies from the new Annual Catalogue, which goes live tomorrow – 4th May. I made this slimline card to show off both the stamps and the dies, they work really well together I think and I love the blue colours, though I think I am also going to make this card in purple, pink and […]

How to make a handmade card and gift tag set…

I just wanted to hope on fairly quickly today to share with you how to make a handmade card and gift tag set. This project looks so elegant and stylish I think, which seems perfectly fitting because I have used the new (available May 4th) suite of products called Simply Elegant. With its neutral tones and metallic highlights the Designer Series Paper lends itself really well to 3D projects just like this one. I have actually recorded an accompanying video to show you how to make this project, because it is much easier to see how things are done sometimes! […]

Three cards from one layout…

This post started with one card, and all of a sudden it developed to three cards from one layout. I just changed things up ever so slightly each time and ended up with three fabulous cards quickly and simply. I actually CASE’d myself in the first instance too, as I had made a card with the same layout earlier in the year, just using a different stamp set. Sometimes we don’t need to go crazy and ‘redesign the wheel’ as they say, when something works just go with it! I have used the upcoming Hand Penned stamp set for these […]

Creating from a sketch challenge can be an incredible way to get your crafting ‘mojo’ going again if it is taking a little holiday for any reason. Just grab a stamp set or two and use the layout as inspiration for a design. You can stick to the sketch rigidly or use it more loosely, as I have done here today!
