If you are anything like me you are still rushing around making Christmas cards, but for those who are ahead of the game I have got a bright and beautiful birthday card to share with you all today, using some soon to be released new stamps and dies from Stampin’ Up!
The Creativity Abounds group come together twice a month, once to create a tutorial which we offer for sale for £11.50 and once to provide a free blog hop, full of creative inspiration for you. This month’s theme is Birthday’s, and I’ve steered well away from Winter and have my sights firmly set on bright flowers and sunshine!
The products I have used for this card will all be available from the 7th January, but you won’t find them in a catalogue anywhere. They are purely found online, as Online Exclusives. There’s a FANTASTIC selection coming your way, so please do check them out over on my website – you will find the link at the bottom of this post.
That gorgeous flower stamp is from a set called Mixed Florals – you are going to see a lot of that from me in the coming months, and the arches behind are from an AMAZING set of dies called Everyday Arches. These are nesting dies that range from a couple of inches to a full card size front. I’ve even made a card base using the dies themselves – why not check it out over on my YouTube channel.
I’ve coloured the flowers in using Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade, with a hint of Smoky Slate (with the colour lifter) for the daisies. The Background Paper is a beautiful shade of Azure Afternoon and really makes the whole card pop I think. The paper pack is called Everyday Skies and co-ordinates with the arches set which is brilliant – so many possibilities.
The flowers were stuck to the arch at the base with liquid glue and at the top with dimensionals and the arch is stuck to the card base with dimensionals too, just to make it stand out. I really love how the Happy Birthday sentiment jumps out being white heat embossed onto black card – if you’ve never really tried that I think it works great on a bright card. A few pearls to finish was all that was needed
Thank you so much for stopping by, I hope that you enjoyed seeing my bright and beautiful birthday card and I can’t wait to see what the rest of the Design Team have in store for you. Please do have a hop around and check out all the projects, and don’t forget the tutorial if you would like even more ideas.
Until next time, Happy Stamping!
Heather xx

You can’t beat a pretty bunch of flowers for a birthday. The arch is a super way to show them off.
Gorgeous! Love the arch die as a backdrop for the bouquet.
Love your card Heather. Makes me think of Spring. Let’s skip winter.
I love this stamp set you used. I just ordered it. Thanks for starting me off with a sweet little idea. Lovely card, Heather.
