Emboss Resist Technique…

I absolutely love the emboss resist technique and it worked so well for me when I used it with the brand new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Available from June 3rd this is a stunning set filled with the most gorgeous sunflower images and sentiments to match. I made this card for my boyfriend’s Mum for her birthday in June. It is bright and cheery and I am sure she will love it. I started with a piece of Whisper White card (though really I should have used Shimmery White or Watercolour card) measuring 6″ x 4″. I […]

World of Good Memories and More…

I was asked by a customer recently whether the World of Good Memories and More card packs could be used for cardmaking as well as scrapbooking/memory keeping. The answer is absolutely YES and I am here to show you how. Whilst these aren’t available for another two weeks I thought I would wet your appetite with a little sneak peak, and if you want to have a go using different Memories and More packs you can find the links at the bottom of the page. I have made three different yet co-ordinating cards all on the same theme, ranging from […]

How to use the Stamparatus…

Hello and welcome to this blog post where I hope to show you how to use the stamparatus to make these two gorgeous cards using the ‘To A Wild Rose’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up! This set is a relatively new addition to my stash, along with the co-ordinating dies. They are simply stunning though, and I have to ask why didn’t I get them earlier? Luckily these are both carrying over to the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, but you won’t be able to get them as a bundle after June 2nd, so get your skates on to grab a bargain […]

Stampin’ Up! 2020-2022 In Colours…

Ok, so I might have to admit I am smitten with the new Stampin’ Up! 2020-2022 In Colours. They are so beautiful. Normally it takes me quite some time to get going with these, but not this year! I have dived straight in and am loving them. We have got, from left to right, Misty Moonlight (how beautiful is that), Magenta Madness (a real bright one), Just Jade (gorgeous), Bumblebee (a great addition to the yellows) and Cinnamon Cider (absolutely scrummy). What exactly is an In Colour then? Well it is a set of 5 colours that augment the Stampin’ […]

Sending Positive Thoughts…

What better time than now to think about sending positive thoughts, I think that we could all use them to be honest. I am so fortunate to be part of a large crafting family, through Stampin’ Up! and this weekend I took part in a craft challenge on zoom with my wider team and friends. I first thought up this challenge three weeks ago, where someone has to describe a card to everyone without showing us, while we all try to recreate it as best we can with what we have got. It really is a lot of fun and […]

Scrapbooking with Stampin’ Up!…

Scrapbooking, memory keeping, journalling with picture… there are many names for what is essentially the recording and presenting of memories. Scrapbooking with Stampin’ Up! is such a lovely way to preserve our history, and people around the globe do this in many different forms. I am a ‘traditional’ scrapbooker. I take 12″ x 12″ papers and mat and layer my photos onto these, adding embelishments before putting them in an album, but there are also mini pocket albums which can be used to make the task a little simpler and quicker, if you are short on time or just new […]

Flower Wreath

Well it is that time of year again, as we approach June and the launch of the new catalogue, that I look at my paper stash and realise that I really should use up some of these pretty papers! I bought the Perennial Essence papers when they first came out, because they just look so pretty, but for some reason I haven’t really used them. I think they were waiting for the right project, and this flower wreath is definitely it. To make the wreath, you will need 12 pieces of paper measuring 15cm x 15cm to make the outer […]
