Happy Birthday to You…

I was so loving colouring with the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers that I coloured in several of these gorgeous cake images from the Happy Birthday to You stamp set. If you like the look of this stamp set then read to the end to find out how you can win one of these for yourself. I have paired it here with the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. This has some lovely floral patterns and I have chosen one with light pastel shades. I coloured the image in with Mint Macaron, So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Blends, before cutting […]

Painted Poppies meets Nature’s Thoughts…

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the amazing new Nature’s Thoughts dies (£27), out now amongst many other things which co-ordinate with the Sale-a-Bration and the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue. I loved the stamp set Positive Thoughts and bought these dies because they have the most gorgeous accents in them including a cute little butterfly, a feather and a perfectly sized bordered rectangle die. AND…. these stamps and dies will be carrying over into the next Annual Catalogue, so we will have plenty more time to play with them. I also wanted to use the Painted Poppies bundle and […]

Kerchief Card Kit…

I thought I would pop on and share this cute little card kit with you. It is one of the items that you can get for free at the moment when you spend over £45, and I had a lovely time making these cards. Aren’t they striking! Everything that you need comes in the kit, even little glue dots, though I did add a bit of Tombow Multipurpose liquid glue as it is my adhesive of choice! You can make two different types of cards, and 4 of each of these, so 8 in total… that’s not bad for a […]

Free as a bird…

I have been so blown away by the Stampin’ Up! January-June Mini Catalogue that I had almost forgotten about all of the amazing things in the Annual Catalogue…. almost!! After using the new Parisian Blossoms suite, I have a new favourite colour – Petal Pink. It is such a gorgeous shade, soft and gentle yet sophisticated too. I also love the new Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon (£6.50 for 9.1m) and the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels ( £5.50) so I decided to combine these new products with the Free as a Bird Stamp Set and the Bird Ballad DSP. I […]

Little Ladybird…

At my last workshop I was so lucky to receive a few orders from my customers, so that I managed to bag this cute little stamp set ‘Little Ladybug’. It is a host only stamp set and it is completely FREE with an order over £275, or workshop or party orders over £275. Isn’t it adorable?? I had such a fun time colouring in the little ladybirds, and that flower is so vivid in all three of the colours I coloured it with. I used the Stampin’ Blends to get some amazing shading. The treat bag below is one that […]

A Stand Up Fold Out Card…

Well, I really struggled to name this card design as it isn’t one I have come across before. I was just sat pondering fancy fold cards one day and this popped into my head as a great design for a special card, and it shows off so much of our beautiful Designer Series Paper that I couldn’t resist making this design using both the Honey Bee Bundle (£38.50) and the Golden Honey DSP (FREE with an order over £45 while stocks last or until 31st March). These products really work amazingly well together and those cute little bees are perfect […]

The Wonderful World of Masking

Masking is a great technique but one that is so often underused. We had a play with it at my latest Messy Hands Craft group and the ladies really got into the swing of it, creating some lovely cards. There are several ways of masking, but essentially what we are doing is blanking off an area of our card, using tape or post it notes, and then stamping on top of these, part on and part off, so that when we remove the tape or note we are left with part of an image. You can see above how I […]

Parisian Beauty Desk Calendar

This is a project we made at one of my Friday morning classes, a cute little desk calendar with a post it note block for those essential notes. I used the new Parisian Beauty stamp set and the GORGEOUS Parisian Blossoms Designer Series Paper. The champagne foiled details are simply stunning, and really show up against the pinks and the blues. To make these, cut a piece of card measuring 28cm by 10.5cm and a piece of card measuring 14cm by 10.5cm. Score the longest piece on the long side at 7cm and 14cm. Cut 2 pieces of the luxurious […]
