Stippled Roses Birthday Card – Color Fusers Blog Hop – Apr 2024…

Hello and welcome to this month’s colour challenge by the Color Fusers, I have made a lovely bright birthday card using the Stippled Roses stamp set which is just a joy to colour in.

The Color Fusers are a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who come together every month with a new three colour challenge for you, and even better we provide the inspiration too!

If you know me, you will know that I love to craft with all things flower related. They are my favourite stamps, especially if I can colour them in, like I can with this Stippled Roses stamp set.

Parakeet Party and Granny Apple Green work really well together, with the Granny Apple Green just being a bit darker than the bright Parakeet Party, so you can get some real depth of colour on the leaves.

The card base here is Granny Apple Green, and the DSP is from the Delightful Floral DSP, currently available as an Online Exclusive product in the UK (you won’t find it in the catalogue, but you can see it online) I stamped the leaves from the Stippled Roses stamp set over the paper which gives a really lovely background effect.

The main floral image was stamped in Basic Grey, a little softer than Memento Black, and coloured in using the Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers. Once coloured, I cut it out using the dies, and also cut out several leaves from the die set in Basic White to add as embellishments around it.

The flowers and leaves were adhered to a panel cut from Basic White using the Everyday Details dies, and this was layered onto a panel of Granny Apple Green, before being stuck to the card base with dimensionals.

The card base was cut slightly shorter than usual, to give that overhang of white on the right hand side, I think it looks really effective, don’t you?

A sentiment and a few sequins were all that was needed to finish off this card made using the Stippled Roses bundle – I think it turned out well, especially seeing as Calypso Coral isn’t actually one of my favourite colours!

That is all from me for today, please do have a hop around the rest of the projects using the links below, and if you would like to purchase any of the supplies I have used in this project you can find the links to these at the bottom of my post.

Until next time, Happy Stamping xx
