World of Good Memories and More…

I was asked by a customer recently whether the World of Good Memories and More card packs could be used for cardmaking as well as scrapbooking/memory keeping. The answer is absolutely YES and I am here to show you how. Whilst these aren’t available for another two weeks I thought I would wet your appetite with a little sneak peak, and if you want to have a go using different Memories and More packs you can find the links at the bottom of the page. I have made three different yet co-ordinating cards all on the same theme, ranging from […]

How to Make a Mother’s Day Card using the Daisy Lane stamp set…

Mother’s Day is fast approaching (UPDATE: 14th March 2021) so I thought I would show you how to make a Mother’s Day card to go along with the wreath that I made in my last post. Haven’t seen it? Click the link to see my Spring Wreath. I sadly lost my Mum to Motor Neurone Disease in 2015 and have found it really difficult to see or promote these cards the last few years, but things do get easier with time, as they say. I will always miss her though and it makes me sad that she will never see […]

Life is better with a friend like you…

Thanks to Stampin’ Up! I have a whole lot of friends to send cards to and this sentiment is just perfect for when you want to say hello to people. A ‘just because’ card, I call it. I have used the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper here because I just love those floral patterns. This card uses a piece measuring 14.5cm x 5cm, so you can get 3 pieces out of one sheet of the paper. Just look at all these designs you can choose from. You get 48 sheets in a pack too, so plenty of card making for […]

The Power of Hope…

Wow, when I saw this set I just knew it was one I needed to have. The stone embossing folder is like something I have never seen before and works just perfectly with the gorgeous images in the stamp set. This little bundle is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a £90 spend because you get both the folder and the stamps together. I thought that the Japanese inspired set would lend itself really well to making a little scene, with the women waling up to the temple. In order to make it appear that there are a few of the ladies […]

Scraps for Valentine’s Day…

When I wrote the heading for this post, I realised that most might think that these two things don’t go together. Using up our scraps to make a beautiful card for someone special? Really? Well, yes! You really can make a lovely card out of things that are just destined for the bin, and I am here to show you how. I also wanted to show you that some of the sets that we think are only for Valentine’s Day can be used year round. I absolutely love this sentiment from the Heartfelt set which reads “Being friends is better […]

Happy Birthday to You…

I was so loving colouring with the Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers that I coloured in several of these gorgeous cake images from the Happy Birthday to You stamp set. If you like the look of this stamp set then read to the end to find out how you can win one of these for yourself. I have paired it here with the Best Dressed Designer Series Paper. This has some lovely floral patterns and I have chosen one with light pastel shades. I coloured the image in with Mint Macaron, So Saffron, Crumb Cake and Petal Pink Blends, before cutting […]

Little Ladybird…

At my last workshop I was so lucky to receive a few orders from my customers, so that I managed to bag this cute little stamp set ‘Little Ladybug’. It is a host only stamp set and it is completely FREE with an order over £275, or workshop or party orders over £275. Isn’t it adorable?? I had such a fun time colouring in the little ladybirds, and that flower is so vivid in all three of the colours I coloured it with. I used the Stampin’ Blends to get some amazing shading. The treat bag below is one that […]

The Wonderful World of Masking

Masking is a great technique but one that is so often underused. We had a play with it at my latest Messy Hands Craft group and the ladies really got into the swing of it, creating some lovely cards. There are several ways of masking, but essentially what we are doing is blanking off an area of our card, using tape or post it notes, and then stamping on top of these, part on and part off, so that when we remove the tape or note we are left with part of an image. You can see above how I […]
