Quick and Easy Christmas Cards…

I knew I was going to love the Freezin’ Fun bundle from Stampin’ Up! as soon as I saw it in the new catalogue and I love it even more now I know it makes the most fabulous quick and easy Christmas cards. I have teamed it up with the GORGEOUS snowflake splendor Designer Series Paper here and these cards really did come together like a dream. These cute little critters are a delight to colour in, with whatever colouring tools you have to hand, but I took out my Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers and got to work. Such a […]

Paper Pumpkin Box of Sunshine…

Available now, while stocks last, for just £20 is this amazing Paper Pumpkin Box of Sunshine. A box filled with gorgeousness that you can use to create lots of projects. Then fill the box with yellow (or other) goodies, attach the included stickers to the box and send it to someone in need of a little sunshine. What a fabulous idea. I opened the box today during my Facebook Live, and made four of the eight cards as shown in the photographs on the box. I then used the rest of the bits and pieces to make three other cards, […]

Triple Layer Stamping…

Well, Triple Layer Stamping with a twist, to be more precise – mainly becuase this might actually be classed as only double layer stamping! I absolutely love this technique as it is quick and simple yet produces stunning results (in my opinion!) There are two ways of achieving the same result, and I cover both in the video below so you can have a go and see which you prefer. For this card I have used the colours Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green, a real celebration of summer using the Forever Fern stamp set, a […]

A quick post for you today sharing my latest creation, where the suite Forever Greenery meets the To a Wild Rose stamp set. I’m so pleased with how this turned out, with a delicate softness yet striking nature. Just look at that stunning Forever Gold Laser-cut speciality paper! For £14 you get 4 big sheets of pre-cut gold embellishments and card fronts, perfect for crafting on the go, a quick card or if you are a new crafter without a die-cutting machine. I have used one of the bigger elements here, and all I did was pop it out and […]

Designer Series Paper or Stamped Images?

Well here is a question for you… is this card made from Designer Series Paper or stamped images? Well, it is acually the most gorgeous Designer Series Paper, coloured in using the Stampin’ Blends, Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam. Isn’t it pretty! The images are printed in a soft grey, like Smoky Slate, and take the colour really well. Because the images are already shaded it is even easier to colour in becuase you know where the shadows and highlights should be. I used another sheet of the paper to add a contrast to the bottom, and some of […]

Zany Zebras Watercolour Card…

Wow, well I seem to have gone for PINK on this Zany Zebras watercolour card today, we have got a mix of Magenta Madness, Melon Mambo and a touch of Rich Razzleberry for some darker tones. How cute is the the little zebra, just peering over his shoulder! I wanted to try out the new water painters from Stampin’ Up!, they are great and come in a cute little pouch for safe keeping too. You get three brushes, a fine tip, a standard brush and a flat wide brush which is great for large washes or fat stripes. I used […]

No-line colouring technique…

Hello, and welcome to this blog post all about the no-line colouring technique! I actually made these cards by accident… I was going to be trying the no-line watercolouring technique, but I forgot to take either my aqua-painter or my blender pen with me where I was going, so thought I would just use the watercolour pencils by themselves and see what it looked like – well, I think it looks just great, and you can get such definition and shading. I used the stunning new Forever Fern stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely love the images and the […]
