Celebrate Sunflowers Card…

What better way to celebrate at this time of year than with a Celebrate Sunflowers Card. The sunflowers in our garden are not yet blooming, but I still couldn’t resist making this card, which will be just perfect for anyone celebrating anything, a birthday, a new job, or really any achievement at all. The colour scheme is inspired by a class that I did with a super talented fellow demonstrator, Emma Goddard. Her use of Mango Melody and Basic Gray was new to me, but I thought I would give it a go here and see how it looked. Personally […]

Blossoms in Bloom Birthday Cards…

I can’t believe I didn’t order this set straight away, it is absolutely gorgeous and I think it looks fabulous on my Blossoms in Bloom birthday cards. One of the things I love about being a crafter is being able to make gifts for my friends and family. I made this one for a friend of mine who I am hoping to meet up with for a walk soon, after not seeing her for months. I thought maybe she won’t be able to get out as much to buy birthday cards, so I used the acetate card boxes to make […]

No-line colouring technique…

Hello, and welcome to this blog post all about the no-line colouring technique! I actually made these cards by accident… I was going to be trying the no-line watercolouring technique, but I forgot to take either my aqua-painter or my blender pen with me where I was going, so thought I would just use the watercolour pencils by themselves and see what it looked like – well, I think it looks just great, and you can get such definition and shading. I used the stunning new Forever Fern stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely love the images and the […]

Multi-fold Card…

I have got something a little bit special for you today and I am calling it the Multi-fold Card. I came across a video on YouTube, with a fancy fold that I rather liked the look of, but the video was in a foreign language so I don’t know the name of the creator, the name of the fold, or even the measurements! I did know that I wanted to try and create something similar though, so I set about designing this card, with measurements to suit me. The Multi-fold card folds up beautifully into a slim style card, with […]

Forever Greenery…

I have got a wonderful new suite to share with you today, the Forever Greenery suite from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely loved playing with the papers, stamps, dies and other embellishments which all co-ordinate to make the most stunning cards and gifts. I especially like the little splatter stamp which I have used on the background here, tone on tone stamped for a subtle effect. The stamps in the Forever Greenery stamp set are ‘distinktive’ stamps, so you get wonderful lifelike images, with the stamps laying down different amounts of ink to give gradients and shading without needing to do […]

Emboss Resist Technique…

I absolutely love the emboss resist technique and it worked so well for me when I used it with the brand new Celebrate Sunflowers stamp set from Stampin’ Up! Available from June 3rd this is a stunning set filled with the most gorgeous sunflower images and sentiments to match. I made this card for my boyfriend’s Mum for her birthday in June. It is bright and cheery and I am sure she will love it. I started with a piece of Whisper White card (though really I should have used Shimmery White or Watercolour card) measuring 6″ x 4″. I […]

How to use the Stamparatus…

Hello and welcome to this blog post where I hope to show you how to use the stamparatus to make these two gorgeous cards using the ‘To A Wild Rose’ stamp set from Stampin’ Up! This set is a relatively new addition to my stash, along with the co-ordinating dies. They are simply stunning though, and I have to ask why didn’t I get them earlier? Luckily these are both carrying over to the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue, but you won’t be able to get them as a bundle after June 2nd, so get your skates on to grab a bargain […]

Stamptastic Friends May 2020 Blog Hop…

This is my second month with the Stamptastic Friends, an amazing group of Independent Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators who want to share their creations with you all. Whether you have come straight here to me, or hopped from somewhere else, be sure to hop on over to the rest of the team to see some fabulous makes. Masculine Makes Masculine makes seems to be a thing at the moment, which is just perfect for me as it is Father’s Day next month and my boyfriend’s bithday in a couple of weeks. Sometimes it can be quite tricky to make cards for […]

Sending Positive Thoughts…

What better time than now to think about sending positive thoughts, I think that we could all use them to be honest. I am so fortunate to be part of a large crafting family, through Stampin’ Up! and this weekend I took part in a craft challenge on zoom with my wider team and friends. I first thought up this challenge three weeks ago, where someone has to describe a card to everyone without showing us, while we all try to recreate it as best we can with what we have got. It really is a lot of fun and […]
