Positive Thoughts…

This stamp set really called to me when I made this card on Saturday. I wanted to use fairly bright but soft colours and lots of layering, I am really starting to enjoy these more ‘fussy’ cards. The stamp set has got co-ordinating dies which have been available and ‘may’ be available again soon but everything can be fussy cut too, if you are in to that kind of thing! I’m not going to give you a full step by step today, but look closely and you will see some of the detail I have added. I have used every […]

Come Sail Away…

Well, who isn’t dreaming of oceans and freedom right now! For those who love the sea but don’t live near it this time could be a difficult one, so how about sending a lovely card to tell them you are thinking of them, just to say hi. Even if the recipient isn’t mad on the oceans, anchors symbolise hope, and steadfastness, something we could all use right about now! The anchor itself is from the Sailing Home stamp set (£22) and it has the most beautifully drawn sail boats and lighthouses, along with some great nautical themed sentiments. I have […]

Birthday Bonanza…

I have been busy making a card for Russ’s teenage niece, who is understandably quite upset that her party has been cancelled and she can’t see her friends. I hope that she still manages to have a nice day and can look forward to a party in the future. For now, I hope to bring her a little cheer with these incredibly cute animals from the Birthday Bonanza Designer Series Paper. I haven’t used the stamp set for this card, just the Designer Series Paper (£10.75) so I fussy cut each of the animals out. You get some lovely background […]

Easter Peekaboo…

Hello and welcome again to my blog, I hope you will find information and inspiration here so please, sit back and enjoy the read! I shared a little technique in my newsletter yesterday, the tone on tone stamping that I have used here, so if you don’t already, please sign up to my newsletters to get even more tutorials, tips and tricks. The sign […]

Beautiful Bouquet…

I absolutely adore this co-ordinating stamp and die set. It was one of the very first that I bought and has been used time and time again. It is a photopolymer stamp set (£25) which means lining up those flowers and stems is super easy and just look at how many stamps you get, with a sentiment for all occasions this will soon become a go-to set for you I am sure. The co-ordinating Bouquet Bunch dies (£28) mean you can really step up your cards, with stems, bows, tag, foliage and much more. You can certainly make some beautiful […]

Painted Poppies meets Nature’s Thoughts…

I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the amazing new Nature’s Thoughts dies (£27), out now amongst many other things which co-ordinate with the Sale-a-Bration and the Jan-Jun Mini Catalogue. I loved the stamp set Positive Thoughts and bought these dies because they have the most gorgeous accents in them including a cute little butterfly, a feather and a perfectly sized bordered rectangle die. AND…. these stamps and dies will be carrying over into the next Annual Catalogue, so we will have plenty more time to play with them. I also wanted to use the Painted Poppies bundle and […]

Free as a bird…

I have been so blown away by the Stampin’ Up! January-June Mini Catalogue that I had almost forgotten about all of the amazing things in the Annual Catalogue…. almost!! After using the new Parisian Blossoms suite, I have a new favourite colour – Petal Pink. It is such a gorgeous shade, soft and gentle yet sophisticated too. I also love the new Petal Pink Metallic Edge Ribbon (£6.50 for 9.1m) and the Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels ( £5.50) so I decided to combine these new products with the Free as a Bird Stamp Set and the Bird Ballad DSP. I […]
