Centre Step Card – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop Feb ’21…

The theme for this months Tech 4 Stampers blog hop is New Beginnings, and I won’t lie, this one had me stumped for a while, until I settled on making a Centre Step Card. I made this card for my prospective new Stampin’ Up! upline, hence hopefully fitting in to the New Beginnings theme! I can’t wait to rejoin and get going properly again. I couldn’t find any instructions for making a card that fit what I had in my head, so I went about creating this one on my own! I am not sure if this is technically how […]

Colour your Christmas any colour you like…

One of the things I love about crafting is that things don’t always have to be accurate – you can colour your Christmas any colour you like – I opted for Highland Heather and Smoky Slate here, using the Christmas Gleaming stamp set and my trusty Stampin Blends. Those ornaments are simply stunning aren’t they, the design and the colour! I actually used my Highland Heather and my Purple Posy Blends, because it meant I could really give it a 3D effect as the colour got light to the middle. The colour lifter really helps to fade it into white […]

No-line colouring technique…

Hello, and welcome to this blog post all about the no-line colouring technique! I actually made these cards by accident… I was going to be trying the no-line watercolouring technique, but I forgot to take either my aqua-painter or my blender pen with me where I was going, so thought I would just use the watercolour pencils by themselves and see what it looked like – well, I think it looks just great, and you can get such definition and shading. I used the stunning new Forever Fern stamp set from Stampin’ Up! I absolutely love the images and the […]

Bird Ballad Frame

I want to share something with you today that I made some time ago now, almost as soon as the last annual catalogue came out I think. The Bird Ballad suite was one of my first purchases, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on every single item in the suite, they all just co-ordinate so beautifully together. The stamps are simply gorgeous and the papers…. well, I am lost for words. I love making samplers, and really enjoyed this one, on a canvas frame. The frame itself is 10″ x 8″, to give you an idea of size. Sadly, […]
