Colouring Flowers with Alcohol Markers…

One of my favourite things to do in my crafting life is colouring flowers with alcohol markers; I just love the effects that you can create and how beautiful they look when you are finished. It is also one of the techniques that I share on my Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Marker Course, along with blending different colours together too, like I have done in the project below. Fitting Florets Suite Collection…

I must admit that as soon as I saw this new Fitting Florets suite collection I knew I had to purchase it. I just love the floral images and the font on the sentiments is simply beautiful. Of course the papers, dies and stamps co-ordinate beautifully too, though I wouldn’t expect anything else from Stampin’ Up! I couldn’t resist having a play with these products as soon as they arrived, and what better way than during my weekly YouTube live video, on Thursday evening at 8pm UK time. I made a simple yet elegant card, one that worked with the […]

Handmade Wedding Invitations…

I just love the new Cottage Rose stamp set from Stampin’ Up! and I wanted to make a very special type of project with it today – handmade wedding invitations. When you think weddings, you think special, don’t you, and so I knew this design needed to have the wow factor, but it also needed to be relatively quick to make because you could easily be making a few! I hope you like this project as much as I do, and even if you aren’t making your own handmade wedding invitations this design could easily be turned into a special […]

The theme for this month’s blog hop is ‘friendship’, and what better way to celebrate friendship than to gift someone this cut accordion file style gift bag, filled with goodies and treats, a handmade card and maybe even a note to show them how much they mean to you. To make this accordion style gift bag you will need to choose two colours of co-ordinating cardstock. I chose Basic White and Melon Mambo for mine. Take one of those sheets cut two pieces measuring 9cm x 18cm out of it, then score each of them every 1 1/2 cm. Fold […]
