This month’s blog hop is focussing on the new and returning colours from Stampin’ Up! I don’t know about you but I am LOVING our new colour line up and I have chosen a really fresh and vibrant set to work with today.
The Stamptastic Friends are a small group of lovely Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who come together to share their makes with you and hope to inspire your creativity. Please do check out the links at the end of the blog post to have a hop around and see what everyone else has been creating.
I overlooked this stamp set when I first ordered from the catalogue, but since purchasing it I have fallen in love with it! The images from the Everlasting Beauty stamp set are fabulous for colouring in, and I really enjoyed using my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to bring these to life.
The new and returning colours from Stampin’ Up! that I decided to work with were Lemon Lime Twist, Berry Burst, Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and a touch of Wild Wheat. I love how zesty they all are, perfect for a summer themed card for sure!
Because they are alcohol markers, I stamped my images all in Memento, a water based ink, and then just set to colouring. The background is using multiple stamping of one flower, and the focal point is the sunflower, cut with scissors and mounted onto a die cut panel from the Scalloped Contours die set. A simple sentiment to finish and I think that is all this card really needs.
If you would like to purchase any of the supplies I have used in today’s card, you can do so by either clicking on the photo links below, or heading to my online store, again there is a link below. But first, why not see what other new and returning colours from Stampin’ Up! have been used by my Stamptastic Friends!
Until next time, Happy Stamping! xx
