How to make a Rainbow Card…

The Zany Zoo bundle is a new addition to my craft room, and as soon as I got my hands on it I just knew I wanted to use my Thursday night YouTube live to demonstrate how to make a rainbow card, using the cute characters in this set from Stampin’ Up! This bundle is part of a brand new suite of products, but I wanted to show how to use it without the papers, and was instantly drawn to that cute racoon holding the balloons. You can see how both of these cards were made by heading to my […]

Marigold Moments – Artisan Design Team April Monthly Post…

My Artisan Design Team group were tasked to create with the Marigold Moments stamp set for our April monthly posts, and the team did an amazing job of showcasing the versatility of this stamp set. I was blown away with some of the projects that had been created! I opted for a very traditional colour scheme, with oranges and yellows, and added in a touch of gold, too. I actually had some gold foil wrapped chocolates left over from another project, and decided to make some treat packaging using the lovely press seal bags, to go with my card. I […]

How to use heat embossing and alcohol markers…

I was asked to create a tip/technique based post for the Artisan Design Team, and I knew almost immediately that I wanted to show people how to use heat embossing and alcohol markers together. If you were to stamp and heat emboss an image, and then try to colour it in, you have two big problems. Firstly, the alcohol marker ink would get onto the heat embossed image and make it look really messy, and secondly, the ink in the markers can react with the embossed area and damage the pens! This tip shows a way around both of these […]

What is Stamping Off? – Creativity Abounds Blog Hop Mar ’23…

The Creativity Abounds crew are focusing on the amazing Fancy Flora suite this month and I wanted to show you how to make this Two-Tone Flora card, focusing on answering that common question, what is stamping off? In short, it is a really super technique which will give you so many more options with your ink pads. I must say I absolutely love the Two-Tone Flora stamp set and love how easy it is to get real dimensional looking flowers using just one colour of ink, by ‘stamping off’. You absolutely can use these stamps with different coloured inks, too, […]

Irresistible Blooms from Stampin’ Up!…

As soon as I was able to I just had to order this beautiful upcoming collection of Irresistible Blooms products from Stampin’ Up! The gorgeous flower stamps, co-ordinating dies, papers, sentiments and embellishments are just fabulous, but I must say that as soon as I sat down to create, all the ideas just vanished from my head! Don’t you hate it when that happens? So, I turned to the good old trusty Global Design Project (#GDP380) for some inspiration – this week’s challenge was CASE the designer, Janneke De Jong, with her wonderful subtle Christmas card, which you can see […]

I knew I wanted to play with the new Adorable Owls stamp set from Stampin’ Up! during my weekly YouTube live video, but was in a bit of a creative slump last week, so off I went to Pinterest in search of some ideas – it really is a fabulous resource for cardmakers, especially with your Stampin’ Up! supplies, because there are just so many ideas out there for our stamp sets. All you do is type in the name and away you go! I was totally inspired by a card that was actually made by a friend of mine, […]

Country Floral Lane Suite from Stampin’ Up!…

Now, I wasn’t going to get the Country Floral Lane Suite from the new Stampin’ Up! Jan – Apr Mini Catalogue but boy am I glad that I did. I absolutely love the colours, the papers, the stamps and the punch, and I can see loads of uses for this one, not just Valentine’s day. As soon as I had a play, I was away making lots of samples, I just fell in love with it. The Country Floral Lane Suite colours are Petal Pink, Sweet Sorbet, Mossy Meadow, Mint Macaron and Balmy Blue, thought I opted to stick with […]

Two-tone flora stamp set from Stampin’ Up!…

I fell in love with the new two-tone flora stamp set from Stampin’ Up! as soon as I saw it, and putting ink to stamp I certainly wasn’t disappointed with it! I absolutely love how easy the images are to line up, and the effect that you get with the main body and the detail stamp combined. My biggest tip with this stamp set is to stamp the darker colour first, which will probably be the detailed stamp. Then you can overlay the lighter image on top – I just find it much easier to line up this way. To […]
