Hello and welcome to my blog, where today I am hopping with the Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers and I am sharing this beautiful Spring inspired birthday card with you, perfect for the coming months.
I am so delighted to be able to take part in these blog hops this year, with a wonderful group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that earned the Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip for the 2022/23 Stampin’ Up! year .
Only about 1% of all the Demonstrators earn this trip every year and in April, we will be going to Mexico and staying 5 nights at the Hotel Xcaret México. This is going to be an amazing trip and I am so grateful for my team and the support of my customers to allow this to happen for me, thank you!
I couldn’t resist playing with some fabulous new products from the upcoming 2024 Jan – Apr Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration, and these delightful spring colours just made me so happy.
I have used Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly, Boho Blue and Granny Apple Green along with a gorgeous embossing folder and some of the prettiest papers (Flight and Airy SAB papers) I have seen in a very long time!
To create the background I used a piece of card measuring 14.5cm x 10.5cm and embossed it with the new (available to customers in January) Layered Florals 3D embossing folder.
Once I had embossed it I used some Bubble Bath ink and a blending brush to blend on some colour to the larger flowers and then used my Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers to colour the smaller leaves and flowers in Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lolly.
I used some Lemon Lolly Papers from the new Lighter than Air paper pack and cut a piece to 10.5cm x 4cm. I layered it onto a piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock measuring 10.5cm x 4.5cm and then stuck it to the front of the embossed card, which was then mounted first onto a piece of Bubble Bath card measuring 15cm x 11cm and then onto a 7″ x 5″ pre-cut card blank (you can always make your own though!)
To make the focal point for this Spring inspired birthday card I used the second largest circle from the Stylish Shapes Dies (my all time favourite set!) and the leaves from the new Stippled Roses die set. These work so beautifully with the Flight and Airy DSP as they are really fine and delicate.
Then all that was left was to fussy cut an image from the aforementioned paper and add a sentiment from the Stippled Roses Stamp Set stamped in Boho Blue.
I hope that you love this card as much as I do and that you have fun hopping through the links below to see what everyone else has made to inspire you.
Until next time, Happy Stamping! xx

Lovely card Heather! I wish I had met you in person in Southampton when I was there in May.
This is so soft and pretty, Heather. Bubble Bath, Lemon Lolly and white are just the perfect colour combination. A gorgeous card!
This card is sooo beautiful !! I’m going to try and create it with the embossing folders I already have. I am 77 years of age and still have a lot of creativity left in me. Your colors are lovely.
Oh Patty, thank you for your lovely comment! I am delighted to have inspired you and absolutely, you have loads of creativity left I am sure! Have an amazing time playing with your embossing folders! xx
