Flight and Airy DSP – Trip Achievers Blog Hop Feb’ 2024…

Hello and welcome to today’s Trip Achiever’s Blog Hop, where today I have made a birthday card for you using the amazing Flight and Airy DSP (Designer Series Paper) from Stampin’ Up! There are just a few days left to get your hands on this free paper, so don’t miss out – check out the details at the bottom of this post to find out how.

I am so delighted to be able to take part in these blog hops this year, with a wonderful group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world that earned the Stampin’ Up! Incentive trip for the 2022/23 Stampin’ Up! year.

Only about 1% of all the Demonstrators earn this trip every year and in April, we will be going to Mexico and staying 5 nights at the Hotel Xcaret México.  This is going to be an amazing trip and I am so grateful for my team and the support of my customers to allow this to happen for me, thank you!

I actually demonstrated how to make this card at my classes this month, and it was a huge hit, so wanted to share it with all of you, too. All you need is the Flight and Airy DSP, some card and an embossing folder (oh, and a die cut circle, some twine, embellishments and a sentiment!!) Easy peasy!

A handmade card made using the flight and airy DSP from Stampin' Up! with a purple base, a white embossed layer and a focal point of a beautiful bird design

The card base is Fresh Freesia, and is a standard size, for me that is 14.5cm x 21cm, scored in half at 10.5cm. The layer then is again a standard size, 10cm x 14cm, and I have embossed it with the dotty folder from the Basics Embossing Folders, available online from Stampin’ Up! (You won’t find it in your catalogue but you can ask your demonstrator for details, or check out my product links below).

The strip of DSP measures 10cm x 2.5cm and the circle die cut is from the Stylish Shapes dies, but you can use any that you have on hand. The focal point is a beautiful bird image fussy cut from the flight and airy DSP, I am in love with this paper and may have been hoarding it over the last couple of months – check out the wonderful designs below…

To finish the card I just added some white twine, some gems and a simple sentiment stamped on a scrap of paper – this card is so quick to make you could easily make a few at a time to keep on hand for birthdays throughout the year – and all you need are the following supplies…

The DSP itself is actually free with a purchase of £45, but is only available until the 29th February, so don’t hang around if you fall in love with it!
