Season of Green and Gold -Stamptastic Friend’s Blog Hop Sep ’24…

Hello and welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friend’s Blog Hop where we are CASEing another Stamptastic Friend and I have made this card using the gorgeous Season of Green and Gold suite from Stampin’ Up! I CASEd a card made by the wonderful Ginny Harrell, otherwise known as Celebrate The Journey.

I absolutely love how all of the elements in a suite co-ordinate when we use the suites from Stampin’ Up! The papers, dies and stamps all work so perfectly together. This card is a book fold card so I started with a base of Thick Basic White cardstock and cut it to 29cm x 10.5cm.

The suite of products that I am using here, Seasons of Green and Gold, is available as an Online Exclusive, so you can buy it online or through me, you just won’t find it in a catalogue.

I then cut a mat of Basic White cardstock measuring 10cm x 14cm and added a strip of DSP measuring 2.5cm x 10cm and a strip of Gold Foil measuring 0.7cm x 10cm right next to it, on the left hand side. I used my Old Olive Stampin’ Blends to flick some ink on the plain white bit of the card.

I adore the Golden Greenery DSP, especially how easy it is to cut out the leaves. Some of them even cut out with the dies if you don’t love fussy cutting as much as I do! As well as the papers I also used the dies on this card and cut one of the pine leaves from Gold Foil and one of the large sprigs from Basic White card.

I sponged some Old Olive ink onto the white die cut and then arranged all four elements onto the card front, sticking them down with wet glue. If you were hand delivering this card then you might want to add a few dimensionals here.

The sentiment stamp and die panel are from the new Peaceful Seasons bundle. I love how ornate the sentiment panels are, and how they have some cool slits for the ribbon to thread through. I added the sentiment panel on dimensionals with some thin gold ribbon threaded through.

To finish the card I took my Mossy Meadow Stampin’ Blend and coloured in some of the Basic Rhinestone gems. I love this technique as it allows me to have co-ordinating colour gems for all of my projects!

Thanks Ginny for the fantastic Season of Green and Gold inspiration, I love your original card and I love my CASEd one too. Here is the original for you all to see.

Thank you for stopping by, until next time, Happy Crafting!
