The Creativity Abounds blog hop team are focussing on cards for men this month, and I really wanted to share a fairly quick and easy masculine card using the Apple Harvest stamp set from Stampin’ Up!
The Creativity Abounds crew are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who love to share ideas and inspire creativity – please do have a hop around the rest of the team’s blogs using the links at the bottom of this post, for even more ideas for cards for the men in your life.
I tend to make cards for men based on what I know my other half likes. He loves cards that are fairly clean and simple, with more neutral colours and a hint of metallics too, so those are the three things I had in mind when creating this quick and easy masculine card.
The card base is Mossy Meadow, and the stamp set is Apple Harvest. I simply white heat embossed the largest image several times on the bottom two thirds of a piece of Basic White card and then used my green inks (Mossy Meadow, Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam) and blending brush to create an ombre effect on this.
I did a bit of splattering with my Stampin’ Blends on the top and then added to sentiment panel.
The sentiment is stamped and then fussy cut into all the different words, and adhered on dimensionals to the second largest banner die from the Nested Essentials die pack. I am really enjoying this new addition to my die collection!
A few Neutral Sequins and a bow in gold thread are all that are needed to finish off this quick and easy masculine card. I hope that you are inspired to create something similar, and don’t forget to check out the links below to see what everyone else has in store for you!
