Country Birdhouse – Color Fusers Blog Hop – Oct 2024…

Now, this project might not be what you are expecting when you see the colour combination that the Color Fusers are working with this month, it really wasn’t my favourite (that is a huge understatement) but I brought in the trusty Country Birdhouse bundle, added some flowers and made it my own. If you read on I’ll share how I got such light and delicate colours, and also how I managed to create a mix of browns and greys from just three colours. It’s all down to the beauty of colour mixing! I am not a fan of Wild Wheat […]

I fell in love with them as soon as I saw them, and knew I was going to make […]

Watercolour Emboss Resist Technique…

I made these two cards using the watercolour emboss resist technique during my recent YouTube live video (8pm UK time on a Thursday if you ever want to join us!) and thought it would be nice to share them here, too, on my blog. This is such a lovely technique, which gives a really subtle but effective background, and works beautifully with the upcoming Dainty Delight bundle and Dainty Flowers DSP available in the new Jan – Jun Mini Catalogue and out for sale to customers on the 5th Jan 2023. The colours I used here are Pear Pizzazz, So […]

Rest and Relax…

I love making covered notebooks! So often I hear people say that they are sometimes reluctant to give their cards away because they are proud of what they have made. I am totally in this camp and am slowly but surely getting better at giving them away but often just want to keep them and look at them. If this is you, how about making a covered notebook, that way you get to continually look at what you have made, every time you need to write something down. The measurements will depend entirely on the size of your notebook, but […]

The Power of Hope…

Wow, when I saw this set I just knew it was one I needed to have. The stone embossing folder is like something I have never seen before and works just perfectly with the gorgeous images in the stamp set. This little bundle is FREE during Sale-a-bration with a £90 spend because you get both the folder and the stamps together. I thought that the Japanese inspired set would lend itself really well to making a little scene, with the women waling up to the temple. In order to make it appear that there are a few of the ladies […]
