Casually Crafting Autumn Term Blog Hop…

Hello & welcome back to the Casually Crafting Blog Hop. This months theme is Autumn Term, and with the nights slowly starting to draw in I realised last week that sadly Summer has to end at some point, but Autumn gives us a whole new colour palette for our crafting, and a whole new array of products to mix and match. The Casually Crafting Design Team are a group of independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrators that want to share our take on casual crafting with you all. We will be sharing what we love every 3rd Friday of each month. Make […]

Triple Layer Stamping…

Well, Triple Layer Stamping with a twist, to be more precise – mainly becuase this might actually be classed as only double layer stamping! I absolutely love this technique as it is quick and simple yet produces stunning results (in my opinion!) There are two ways of achieving the same result, and I cover both in the video below so you can have a go and see which you prefer. For this card I have used the colours Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight and Granny Apple Green, a real celebration of summer using the Forever Fern stamp set, a […]

Forever Greenery meets To a Wild Rose…

A quick post for you today sharing my latest creation, where the suite Forever Greenery meets the To a Wild Rose stamp set. I’m so pleased with how this turned out, with a delicate softness yet striking nature. Just look at that stunning Forever Gold Laser-cut speciality paper! For £14 you get 4 big sheets of pre-cut gold embellishments and card fronts, perfect for crafting on the go, a quick card or if you are a new crafter without a die-cutting machine. I have used one of the bigger elements here, and all I did was pop it out and […]

Designer Series Paper or Stamped Images?

Well here is a question for you… is this card made from Designer Series Paper or stamped images? Well, it is acually the most gorgeous Designer Series Paper, coloured in using the Stampin’ Blends, Petal Pink and Soft Sea Foam. Isn’t it pretty! The images are printed in a soft grey, like Smoky Slate, and take the colour really well. Because the images are already shaded it is even easier to colour in becuase you know where the shadows and highlights should be. I used another sheet of the paper to add a contrast to the bottom, and some of […]

Zany Zebras Watercolour Card…

Wow, well I seem to have gone for PINK on this Zany Zebras watercolour card today, we have got a mix of Magenta Madness, Melon Mambo and a touch of Rich Razzleberry for some darker tones. How cute is the the little zebra, just peering over his shoulder! I wanted to try out the new water painters from Stampin’ Up!, they are great and come in a cute little pouch for safe keeping too. You get three brushes, a fine tip, a standard brush and a flat wide brush which is great for large washes or fat stripes. I used […]
