How to use Designer Series Paper…

Oh my goodness how beautiful is this Paper!! I always love the Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up! but this one is just stunning isn’t it? I wanted to share a project today showing how to use Designer Series Paper in our cardmaking, because we are all guilty of hoarding it not using it! Gorgeous paper like this deserves to be shown off!

The berry Delightful Designer Series Paper from Stampin' Up!

I have used the brand new, not even launched yet, Berry Blessings stamp set and Berry Delightful DSP. I was inspired by a card made by my dear friend Rosie Minors, I loved how she has showcased three different designs on the one card, and I wanted to do the same.

These papers are all so gorgeous, I definitely couldn’t pick just one to play with! The base card is Whisper White thick, 14.5cm x 21cm, scored in half at 10.5cm. The first DSP layer is 14cm x 10cm, look at those stunning leaves!

The second paper layer is 7.5cm x 8.5cm and is place on a mat of Poppy Parade card measuring 7.8cm x 9cm. I have butted the paper right up to the left edge of the red card, before sticking it down on top of the first layer of paper. I love Poppy Parade, such a bright and vibrant colour!

The final piece of DSP measures 7.4cm x 3.2 cm and is on a mat of Whisper White card measuring 7.7cm x 3.7cm. Again, the DSP is butted up right against the edge of the mat of white, but this time, the left edge. I then stuck it down butted up against the left edge of the first layer of paper… still with me!?!?

Berry Blessings Stamp set and Berry Delightful Designer Series Paper

The stamp set is Berry Blessings, I just love the images and the sentiments in this one. I stamped the raspberry three times, the outline and the in fill, in Poppy Parade, along with two of the leaves, one in Granny Apple Green and one in Shaded Spruce, and, of course, the little toppers to the raspberries, we couldn’t forget about those!

Sadly, there are no dies or punch for this set, so out came my trusty Paper Snips, to fussy cut them all out, along with the sentiment, Bountiful Blessings. I layered everything onto a 2″ Whisper White circle and matted this onto a 2 1/4″ Poppy Parade circle. A touch of White Twine and we are done!
