Hello and welcome to the Be Inspired blog hop, where this month we plan to inspire you with our favourite cardmaking layouts. I have combined the old with the new here, using some soon to be released new In Colours from Stampin’ Up! and paired them with the fabulous Lovely Arrangements stamp set – and a few other products too!
The brand new colours that I chose to make this card with are called Hydrangea Hue (the blue), Barely Blush (the pink) and Peaceful Pine (the green). I love how beautifully they work together, and as always with Stampin’ Up! how the different elements all colour coorindate, whether it’s paper, ink, ribbon gems or colouring tools. You can’t beat that in my opinion!
This project really is a mish mash of products, which I will try and list below – but the main thing I wanted to highlight is the layout, as this really does work for so many different stamps, dies and papers. Simply cut a standard sized card base and white layer, then add a strip of DSP (about 4cm, 1 1/2″) to the lefthand side. Create a focal point and place it near the bottom, half on and half off the paper, then decorate as desired! It couldn’t be simpler.
I used paper from the Bloom Boutique DSP pack, and added a strip of ribbon too, just to add some texture to the background. The focal point of flowers is sitting on a die from the Beautifully Celebrated Bundle, and I the Stampin’ Blends to colour in the flowers from the Lovely Arrangements stamp set before cutting all the elements out with my trusty paper snips.
Oh, and I stamped, coloured and punched a couple of butterflies from the new All Aflutter bundle too – so pretty. The sentiment is from the Lovely Arrangements bundle and it is stamped onto a die cut from the Stylish Shapes – a firm favourite that is sticking around – YAY!!
