Our theme at Creativity Abounds this month is fun folds, and I want to share this Double Corner Easel card with you. This is such a lovely and unusual fold and I have enjoyed making both of my projects in this style this month.
The Creativity Abounds group come together twice a month, with a blog hop and a tutorial, and this month we are promoting our tutorials, where you can find all of the measurements and instructions (in both imperial and metric) for this Double Corner Easel Card and all the other projects in this hop too.
I just love the way this fold has a really good focal point and shows off all the wonderful papers too. I used the gorgeous foiled Wildflower Birthday paper for this card here, and over on the tutorial I designed a card using the Cute as Can Bee papers – I made that card for my other half for Valentine’s Day!
The Wildflower Birthday paper pack also has two sheets of pre-cut die cut shapes, which are SO easy to use. All you do is pop them out and then use them on your card. I used them here on the focal point to create a little arrangement of flowers, and just added a couple of butterfly embellishments.
The sentiment I used here is actually from one of the new scrapbooking sets – Wildflower Celebrations. I do love a nice big sentiment sometimes and it just works here on the front panel.
