Hello and welcome back to the Color Fusers Blog hop, where this month I am demonstrating blending with Stampin’ Write Markers and have made a gorgeous Spring Flowers card for you using the amazing Mixed Florals bundle from Stampin’ Up!
We have a really pretty colour combo for you this month, with Bubble Bath, Coastal Cabana and Soft Sea-Foam – this one was right up my street!

Here at Stampin’ Up! it is Sale-A-Bration time and we have a brilliant joining offer on at the moment – you can get £130 worth of product for just £99 AND you can choose two sets of these really versatile markers and get a stamp set absolutely free – that’s a whopping £220 worth of product for just £99.
I absolutely love our Stampin’ Write markers and can’t wait to share more of what they can do with you over the coming weeks. Here I want to help you understand blending with Stampin’ Write Markers, using them on the watercolour cardstock with a waterbrush to created this really soft, subtle painted look.

In order to watercolour with these markers, I stamped the images in Staz On, a waterproof ink that won’t run when we add water. I simply stamped the images and then added some colour with the pens, just like you would colour in as a kid. I made sure to leave some white on the flowers, rather than colour the whole thing. Then all you do is add some water and blend the colour out, as the ink reacts with the water and moves around the page.
To colour the leaves I layered the two colours together, first I coloured them in using the lighter Soft Seafoam and then at the bases of the leaves I added some darker Coastal Cabana. It looks a bit funny at first but as soon as you add water, they blend together beautifully!

If you want to have a go at this layout, the cardstock for the base measures 14.5cm x 21cm scored in half at 10.5cm, the Bubble Bath card measures 12.5cm x 8.5cm and the Designer Series Paper measures 12cm x 8cm. This gives a lovely border all the way around.
To finish up I simply added a sentiment on a banner die cut, a small white twine bow and some sparkles, because what handmade card is complete without sparkles!
