Mixed Florals thank you card – Be Inspired Blog Hop January ’25…

Hello and welcome to the first Be Inspired blog hop of 2025, where our theme is love and friendship, and I have made a gorgeous Mixed Florals thank you card, perfect for showing how much you care about someone close to you.

I have made so many cards using this amazing stamp set and die bundle – you won’t find this one in a catalogue though, as it is only available to view through my online store. You can see a picture below though.

I wanted to make something a bit special, and the bigger images lend themselves to a larger card than usual, so I chose a 7″ x 7″ pre-made card base, or you can make your own by using two sheets of thick basic white card.

The coloured card I used is Melon Mambo which paired perfectly with the beautiful Bloom Impressions paper, which you can get for free with a £55 purchase (this bundle is £54, so you would only need to add some dimensionals to your order to qualify!)

I must say I wasn’t sold on this paper until I saw it in person – it’s absolutely beautiful and pairs so well with all of our floral stamp sets! I cut the paper to 6″ x 6″ and the cardstock to 6 1/4″ x 6 1/4″.

The middle panel of white is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ and the coloured card is 4 1/2″ x 4 1/2″, which I added to the card with dimensionals, to give it a nice raised effect. Then all that was left to do was have some fun colouring in the images from this amazing Mixed Florals bundle.

I stamped the images in Memento black ink and used my Stampin’ Blends to colour it in with. I chose Granny Apple Green, Petal Pink and Berry Burst, but you could use Melon Mambo too to match the card. To colour the daisy and small flowers I used the colour lifter too, to blend the pink into the white of the cardstock. I love the soft effect this gives.

The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and then heat embossed with white powder on black cardstock to give a real pop against the vibrant colour of the card. Then I went crazy with the Faceted Iridescent Gems – these are just amazing!
