A very girly birthday card…

I made this girly birthday card for my niece’s birthday, I think it will be just perfect for her even though she isn’t a particularly girly girl. I was working on a project for my return to in person classes and this paper was out on my desk, just calling to be used. It is absolutely stunning, and from the new Expressions in Ink Designer Series Papers. These papers are absolutely gorgeous, and mimic an alcohol effect style, without the mess or the need to buy and learn how to use alcohol inks. And they have the most beautiful gold […]

Handmade Home Decor – Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop May ’21…

I am so excited to share my handmade home decor entry for this wonderful blog hop by the Tech 4 Stampers group. I know there are going to be some amazing projects for you in this hop, so settle down, get comfortable and be inspired. The challenge this month is a colour challenge, using all 5 of the new in colours, though really this isn’t a challenge, as they are all so gorgeous and work amazingly well together. I absolutely adore the new Pansy Patch stamps and Pansy Dies from Stampin’ Up! – they make such lovely projects and work […]

Colouring Techniques Blog Hop by the Crafty Collaborators…

If you love to colour then this Colouring Techniques blog hop is definitely the one for you! Please do have a good look around and see all the techniques, tricks and tips that we have got in store for you today. I have used my trusty Stampin’ Blends for this card today, I wanted to do something that I rarely see done and that is to use the blends to colour in the background, not just the main image. This can be a little tricky to do without getting a streaky look but I am going to try and help […]

How to assemble the Pansy Dies from Stampin’ Up!

I remember buying a set of orchid builder dies in my first year as a demonstrator, and never using them because I couldn’t figure out how to put them together easily, so I really want to share with you today how to assemble the Pansy Dies from the new Annual Catalogue, which goes live tomorrow – 4th May. I made this slimline card to show off both the stamps and the dies, they work really well together I think and I love the blue colours, though I think I am also going to make this card in purple, pink and […]

How to make a handmade card and gift tag set…

I just wanted to hope on fairly quickly today to share with you how to make a handmade card and gift tag set. This project looks so elegant and stylish I think, which seems perfectly fitting because I have used the new (available May 4th) suite of products called Simply Elegant. With its neutral tones and metallic highlights the Designer Series Paper lends itself really well to 3D projects just like this one. I have actually recorded an accompanying video to show you how to make this project, because it is much easier to see how things are done sometimes! […]

Three cards from one layout…

This post started with one card, and all of a sudden it developed to three cards from one layout. I just changed things up ever so slightly each time and ended up with three fabulous cards quickly and simply. I actually CASE’d myself in the first instance too, as I had made a card with the same layout earlier in the year, just using a different stamp set. Sometimes we don’t need to go crazy and ‘redesign the wheel’ as they say, when something works just go with it! I have used the upcoming Hand Penned stamp set for these […]

Creating from a sketch challenge can be an incredible way to get your crafting ‘mojo’ going again if it is taking a little holiday for any reason. How to use alcohol markers with heat embossing…

I am blog hopping today with an amazing group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from the Crafty Collaborations group and we want to bring you the best of our Stamparatus techniques. If you have a stamping platform, read on, because this hop is definitely for you! I am going to show you how to use alcohol markers with heat embossing today, because it is something that frustrated me for a long time until I learnt how to achieve it! The thing with alcohol markers is that they contain a solvent. I love working with the Stampin’ Blends but for a long […]
