Purple Christmas Card – Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop Nov’ 22…

I hope you like this purple Christmas card as much as I know one of my friends is going to! The theme of this month’s blog hop is actually ‘Personalisation’ and one of the things I love about crafting is being able to make the perfect project for each individual recipient, tailoring the colours or the design to suit them to a tee.

The Stamptastic Friends are a lovely bunch of papercrafters who come together each month to create cards and other items to inspire you in your own crafting. I hope you enjoy this hop today, and use the links at the bottom of the page to see what everyone has in store for us.

A very purple Christmas card with the words Season's Greetings and die cuts in purple, blue and silver, and purple ribbon

This purple Christmas card actually came to fruition because I had some die cut pieces left over from making another project – a decorative door hanging. I just loved how the colours of Fresh Freesia, Silver and Balmy Blue worked together and couldn’t let these scraps go to waste. And I’ve got lots of friends who LOVE pinks and purples, so I know this card will definitely be appreciated!

The Fresh Freesia mat was die cut with the heart inlay die from the Framed Florets dies, and the ovals in the middle cut from white using another die from the same set.

The leaves and sprigs are from the Framed Florets dies and the Holly Berry Dies and are cut in Silver Foil, Rose Gold Speciality DSP and watercolour card. The watercolour card ones were then watercoloured using Fresh Freesia and Balmy Blue ink, for a really subtle yet beautiful effect.

The bottom right hand corner of the Fresh Freesia Mat is stamped in Fresh Freesia ink with a snowflake from the Joyful Flurry set – the tone on tone effect adds interest without detracting from the central panel.

I added a sentiment from the Leaves of Holly stamp set, a small scrap of Fresh Freesia DSP, some Fresh Freesia ribbon and some Fresh Freesia sequins. I really did make a purple Christmas card!! If you would like to purchase any of the supplies used in this project, simply click on the product pictures below to head straight to my online store.

All of this is then mounted onto a Thick Basic White cardbase. I hope that you like it and I hope that you enjoy hopping through the rest of the team’s posts today.

Take care and Happy Stamping xx
