Outdoor Themed Scrapbook Layout – Stamptastic Friends’ Blog Hop June ’25…

Hello and welcome to this month’s Stamptastic Friends’ Blog Hop, where our theme is ‘outdoors’, and I have got a wicked outdoor themed scrapbook layout for you! I recently took part in a fantastic ‘Wolf Run’ challenge, with lots of mud and obstacles, and really wanted to capture the memories of this amazing day.

I had recently purchased the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit, and the papers and die cut elements went perfectly with my photos, and fit this theme too. I had a great time creating this double page spread, using the kit as inspiration, though it doesn’t look anything like the examples the designers created for us.

That’s one of the things I love about our scrapbook workshop kits, you get to follow along with the instructions exactly or go completely off piste, using the co-ordinating elements however you like – the choice really is yours!

The first thing I did was print my photos, a couple here are 6″ x 4″ but the rest are half size at 3″ x 2″. I really like being able to print my photos half size because I think they fit lovely on a 12″ x 12″ page and it means I don’t have to cut them down or cram them on. I then matted them onto some Very Vanilla Two Tone Cardstock, to match the colour I used for the page background.

The colours in the paper worked brilliantly with my photos, so I decided to use both the blue and green papers on my layout. I cut a sheet of the 12″ x 12″ green paper in half to 6″ and then stuck one onto each of my Very Vanilla pages, then added a strip of the blue paper at the top of each.

Then it was just a case of deciding how to layout my photos. Don’t be scared to overlap photos like I have done in this case, I think it can work really well because we don’t often have the focal point in the corner, and it links the photos together really nicely too.

I used a few of the stickers for decoration and also added a title using the Playful Alphabet dies, I love this set of letters, they are the perfect size for scrapbooking and really helped to personalise my outdoor themed scrapbook layout.

I am really getting back into my scrapbooking now, since Stampin’ Up! have launched and continue to focus on building their scrapbooking range of products – I am loving being able to capture these memories and revisit them at any time, just flicking back through my album is such a lovely thing to do.

Thank you so much for stopping by today, I hope you have enjoyed learning a bit more about my process here, and enjoy hopping through the rest of the teams outdoor themed posts – I am sure you will be really inspired.

Until next time, Happy Stamping! xx
