Feathered Fun – Color Fusers Blog Hop – June ’25…

Oh I love this month’s colour challenge, and as soon as I saw it my mind went straight to a fab new stamp set called Feathered Fun – I have popped a picture of it below for you to see the whole set. I love a bit of colouring with my Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers and my favourite colours are pinks and purples, so this stamp set and colour choice is perfect for me!

I may have actually cheated a teeny tiny bit on this challenge (shhh, don’t tell anyone!!) because I have used Secret Sea as my base colour, it’s just SUCH a great neutral dark, but if you don’t have it you could always use black, or Night of Navy would work. Honestly though, Secret Sea is going to be a popular colour for me I think!

The paper I used, Fresh Freesia, is from the Floral Impressions and Florals in Bloom paper packs, but we have so much Fresh Freesia DSP in stock at the moment, which is great news for me!

The card base is a standard metric size, 14.5cm x 21cm scored in half at 10.5cm. The striped purple paper is then cut to 14cm x 5cm and is stuck onto a piece of Basic White card measuring 14cm x 10cm. A length of Pretty in Pink ribbon is attached and then the mat is stuck to the card front.

The rectangular section on the front is cut from Secret Sea measuring 10.5cm x 7cm and the DSP is 10cm x 6.5cm. This is stuck in the middle on dimensionals. I then used some die cut circles, from the Stylish Shapes dies and Spotlight on Nature dies to layer over the front of this. I found that helped the Feathered Fun birds to pop a little bit better.

Then all I really had to do was stamp the birds and colour them in – the best part! I coloured the blocked off areas in Granny Apple Green First, as this colour won’t blend nicely with pink or purple! I then added the Fresh Freesia and Pretty in Pink, blending them as I went. I love how they turned out.

The sentiment is from the More Messages stamp and die set, I LOVE this set and have a whole stash of words ready to go, so I can just choose the one that best fits the card I am making. I have a set stamped in several different colours too, I really would recommend this bundle!

I really hope you enjoy the Feathered Fun stamp set as much as I have here, and hopefully I will share some more using this set as time goes on. I think this is a keeper for my scrapbooking at any rate, the images are a good size and perfect for any bird themed days out!

Thank you for stopping by, and until next time, Happy Stamping xx
