The Creativity Abounds Blog Hop team are focussing on all things masculine this month, and I know a lot of you like getting lots of inspiration for these more difficult projects, so please do have a hop around using the links at the end of this hop.
Firstly, my apologies for the slightly shorter than usual post this month, I am having all sorts of technical difficulties at the moment, but I hope you will still be inspired by my card today, I actually made this one for my boyfriend’s birthday – he said he loved all the layers!
I used the Scenic Adventure dies to make this masculine themed birthday card, and really like how it turned out. I cut all of the different layers from white card and then added ink with my blending brushes, Secret Sea for the hills, Garden Green for the trees and Granny Apple Green for the grasses.
To make the scene I first cut a piece of Basic White cardstock, the same size as the largest Textured Notes dies, then sponged some Balmy Blue ink onto the top section of this card. I stamped the greetings on in Secret Sea ink and then started to build the scene, sticking each one down in turn, starting with the hills, with liquid glue.
To make the border I cut a piece of Secret Sea card using the Textured Notes dies, the largest one in the set, then used my trimmer to cut out the middle section, turning it into a frame. I stuck this onto my scene with dimensional strips and then added the whole thing to the front of a Balmy Blue card.
