Our theme at Creativity Abounds this month is ‘techniques’, and I want to share how to sand two tone cardstock. This is a really simple yet effective technique using one of our newer product lines from Stampin’ Up!

The Creativity Abounds group come together twice a month, with a blog hop and a tutorial, this month you will get 13 different techniques with full written instructions in both metric and imperial if you purchase the tutorial. You will find limited instructions here, but you can get the tutorial by clicking the button below.

I have used an upcoming Embossing Folder in this project, called Pressed Flowers, but you can use lots of your existing folders for this technique. All you really need is a piece of sandpaper, or even an emery board at a push. The purple cardstock is Two Tone Petunia Pop – such a lovely colour and looks really effective with the white core showing through.
The paper that I used to make the background and the focal point comes from a suite that we will be using for Stamp Camp in June, Celebratory Sips. It’s such a fun suite and I am so excited for this stamp camp! You can join us simply by purchasing the Celebratory Sips suite from me from 6th May onwards.
I had a lot of fun fussy cutting out all the different glasses and pieces of fruit to create this card and just love how all the fun colours work together. Can you see that bordered die in the background, that’s from the Textured Notes die set – I love these ones, and I simply layered a piece of patterned paper on top of it to give my central panel.

We have been having some really lovely weather here in the UK the last couple of weeks and I am really hoping that is a sign of things to come. I love sitting out in the garden with a cool drink in the summer and this card is really giving me those vibes!
If you need more instructions on how to sand two-tone cardstock then please do consider purchasing the tutorial bundle – it is £11.50 for 13 wonderful projects. Just click the image of sneak peeks below to find out more.
If you would like more ‘technique’ inspiration, why not have a hop through the rest of our posts, there’s lots going on here to get your creative juices flowing.
Thanks for stopping by, until next time, Happy Stamping!
