Hot Air Balloons – Color Fusers Blog Hop – Jan 2024

I am so excited to announce that I have been asked to join the Color Fusers Blog Hop, and to bring you this Hot Air Balloon card with this month’s colour challenge of Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo and Parakeet Party.

The Color Fusers are a group of Demonstrators from around the world who join up once a month to bring you crafty inspiration using a colour challenge – I am really looking forward to playing along with these, and hope that you do too! I would love to see what you make if you want to share.

I must say I was a little bit stumped with this one at first, but then a flash of an idea cam to me using the new Hot Air Balloon stamp set from Stampin’ Up! – available from today for customers!

Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight blend together beautifully using our amazing Blending Brushes and create that delightful sunset with the orange hue in the middle. I can just imagine how beautiful a sunset would look from up in a Hot Air Balloon! I flicked some water onto the background just to give some more detail to it before decorating.

I made this as a 7″ x 5″ card, as I think they look just a little bit more special sometimes, perfect for a birthday, and the white border really makes the colours pop. I stamped one of the balloons in the Parakeet Party and the other in stripes of Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight, don’t they look cute with their little baskets hanging underneath.

I added a sentiment stamped onto the perfect shaped banner which comes with the co-ordinating Hot Air Balloons die set and added some fluffy clouds in white and Daffodil Delight, before finishing with just a few sparkles. Simple yet effective, I hope you will agree!
