Colourful Handmade Card – Tech4 Stampers Blog Hop Jan ’23…

It feels like I’ve made a lot of cards recently using the subtles range of colours, so I decided it was about time I made a really colourful handmade card for a change, and what better than the upcoming Irresistible Blooms bundle from Stampin’ Up!

The Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop theme this month is Birthday, and we all need a few of those cards each month, right? So please do check out all the other ideas, you can find links at the bottom of the page.

I decided to work with the bright colours this month, so pulled out my Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Poppy Parade, along with Granny Apple Green. I just love how well these work together and are perfect for use with the flowers from the Irresistible Blooms bundle.

I heat embossed some leaves in white onto a layer of Basic White cardsock, then sponged over the top using my blending brushes and the Granny Apple Green stamp pad. I also stamped some more leaves and heat embossed those, too, onto some scrap white card, then ink blended and fussy cut them ready to use later.

Then I went on to stamp three of the flowers, also in Versamark and heat embossed with white embossing powder, then used my blending brush again applied some of the three colours of ink to the three flowers.

Simply cut these out and arrange over your leaves, then add in the pre-cut leaves from earlier! This card comes together really easily, so I reckon you could batch make a few and have them on hand whenever you need a colourful handmade card!

I added a few die cut leaves from Gold Foil and a few gold sequins, from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins, then stamped a sentiment in Memento Black ink and fussy cut it to be able to add it in two sections on top of the flowers.

I think this is the perfect kind of card to leave blank though, and add a sentiment when you need one, depending on who you would be giving it to.

I hope that you like my colourful handmade card, and that it inspires you to get creative yourself – why not check out the rest of the team’s blogs below, to see what else they have come up with for you this month
