Baby-wipe Technique – Stamptastic Friends’ Blog Hop Jan ’23…

I have been playing with the baby-wipe technique for one my classes this month, and decided to share this card with you all today, using the new Thanks a Bunch stamp set, which you can earn for FREE with a £45 spend during Sale-A-Bration! It fits in perfectly with our theme of ‘Something New’ too.

The Stamptastic Friends blog hop group may be small, but we are definitely mighty. Every month we come together to share with you the very best of Stampin’ Up! with cards and projects on a specific theme. Thank you for stopping by today and please do hop around the rest of the blogs using the links at the bottom of my post.

I wanted to play with the new Thanks a Bunch stamp set, and thought it would really well with a technique that is really cool, but often overlooked – the baby-wipe technique.

Wow, that is one bright card! It really has the summer vibes, doesn’t it, and those colours are fab. We have got Daffodil Delight, Mango Melody and Pumpkin Pie for the carrots and Granny Apply Green and Garden Green for the leaves.

The background papers are from the Dandy Designs paper pack, another item you can earn free during Sale-A-Bration in January and February.

To create this almost watercoloured, mottled look, all I did was take a baby wipe and the Stampin’ Up! re-inkers of my choice, and squeeze some drops of ink onto my baby wipe, making sure not to leave any white spaces. By doing this you can create your own custom ink pad which you then use to stamp with normally – so cool right!

The baby-wipe technique really is so much fun, why not have a go yourself, and go wild with those colours. I love the sentiments in this stamp set too, there’s a good mix here.

Until next time, Happy Stamping xx

Bookings are now open for my next Stampin’ Blends Course, starting on Sunday 5th February 2023, with four zoom classes running over several months (to give you plenty of time to practice in between). All of the classes are recorded into a Private Facebook Group too, so you can watch and rewatch as many times as you like. The course also includes a 17 page written course guide, with accompanying worksheets.

There are two options for this course, a product based option (available UK only) and an online only option (available WORLDWIDE). The online only version is £70 and the product based version is £180 – for which you get access to the whole course, the course guide, £180 worth of product (4 stamp sets and 21 Stampin’ Blends) Sale-A-Bration goodies and free postage too.
