Crafting with a pop of colour…

I love using different colours in my crafting, but it isn’t often that I choose a very neutral background and then do the main crafting with a pop of colour, but I think it really works here. I took my inspiration from Connie Collins, in a ‘Case The Designer’ Global Design Project #324. Why not check out all the submissions on their webpage.

Crafting with a pop of colour, this card has a base of light grey and then a pop of red and green for the main focal point.

This the amazing new Flowering Rainboots stamp and die set, I just love those wellies and how you can have the flowers growing out from inside them. The main colour of this card is Smoky Slate, with a pop of Granny Apple Green and Poppy Parade, beautiful summery colours.

CASE the Designer - Global Design Project #324

This is the card I was caseing today – I chose to pick out a lot of the original elements; the neutral background, the twine, the layout, the detailed die cut and the red colour too. Why not have a go yourself, and copy as much or as little as you like!

I stamped the flowers onto Smoky Slate card before cutting it up into four chunks, and then arranging them to create a background. The small dotty stamp that is white heat embossed is from the Colour and Contour set and the white die cut flowers? That is the Detailed Dahlia dies which I cut up and rearranged under the focal point!

A little bit of twine, some basic Rhinestones and a sentiment finish off this card nicely (though I am pretty sure that sentiments is actually stamped in Night of Navy rather than Black – oops!!) Why not have a go at crafting with a pop of colour too, choosing a neutral colour as your main background.

That’s all from me today, but I will be back soon with more cards and more crafting,

Until next time,

Happy Stamping xx
