Hello and welcome to another Casually Crafting Blog Hop, where today I am once again colouring with alcohol markers, my trusty Stampin’ Blends are back out on my desk, not that they ever really went away to be fair!

The theme of this month’s hop is actually Tic Tac Toe. What on earth is Tic Tac Toe I hear you ask! It is a fabulous way to get inspired to create, with whatever supplies you may have at home.

All you need to do is choose a line to work with, so you could choose ‘Floral, Wink of Stella, Simple Stamping’ or ‘Use a punch, very vanilla card, linen twine’, then you make a card or project using these three elements. Don’t worry, you can always add more to it, but you have to use these three!

So I chose ‘Use a punch, Floral, Granny Apple Green’ for my line, and came up with this card. I know, I know, they are strawberries, not flowers, but if you look closely there are three little flowers so I figured it was close enough!!

The sentiment is heat embossed onto black cardstock, doesn’t it pop!!

Granny Apple Green is one of my favourite colours, so it really isn’t hard for me to incorporate this into my cardmaking – it often turns up somewhere! The other colours that I used are Poppy Parade for the strawberries and So Saffron for the flowers. I love strawberries and think the flowers are so soft and delicate, so wanted to choose a nice light colour.

I used my Stampin’ Blends to colour in all of my images, after I had stamped them in Memento black ink and punched them out using the co-ordinating Strawberry Builder punch. If you want to see how to use a builder punch, just watch the video below and head to minute seven. The dotty background is created by ‘flicking’ with my Stampin’ Blend alcohol markers, a technique I love to use to create a bit of interest on my cards.

If you would like to learn more about colouring, and pick up lots of tips, tricks and techniques, why not book yourself a place on my Autumn Colouring Course, starting in September. All the details can be found using the link at the bottom of this blog post.
