So, I know that Poinsettias are supposed to be red, and leaves green, but one of the things I love about crafting is that we don’t need to stick to rules, so I have chosen Pool Party as my main colour for this Wintry Christmas Card.

I absolutely love the Poinsettia Dies from the August – December Mini Catalogue, they make such stunning flowers and I have seen them made in a whole host of different colours, but there is something about these Pool Party ones, isn’t there?
I have sponged the edges of them in Frost White Shimmer Ink, to give a real shimmer and shine, just perfect for a Wintry Christmas Card, it almost looks like frost on the edges of the petals. There are four seperate flower dies which all layer together to create the must amazing Poinsettia.

The leaves are die cut from Whisper White card and the edges sponged in Pool Party, to co-ordinate with the Designer Series Paper from the Snowflake Spendor suite of products. I am fast running out of this paper, as I have used it in so many projects. And it is reduced by 15% to £9.14 during October!
Magnetic Cutting Plate
I used the new Magnetic Cutting Plate to cut all of the elements of this card, it is AWESOME!!! It is the same thickness as a standard cutting plate, so will work with lots of die cutting machines and is a complete magnetic sheet covered with a self healing mat. It holds the dies in position beautifully, I think I will be getting a LOT of use out of this…

I hope you have enjoyed seeing how I made this Wintry Christmas Card, and if you would like to get your hands on the dies, or the magnetic cutting plate, or indeed any of the supplies I have used, you will find the links below. Thank you so much for reading today.
Until next time, Happy Stamping xx
