Hello & welcome back to the Casually Crafting Blog Hop. This months theme is Holiday Dreams, and that led to me having a little dilemma, did I go Summer Holidays or Christmas Holidays! I will let you decide which one I went for.

Z-Fold Summer Celebration card
During the lockdown I have been taking part in a Sunday afternoon craft challenge with my larger Stampin’ Up! family, and it has been a lot of fun, with some fantastic ideas and inspiration thrown in along the way. This was a card we made at the last challenge, a lovely little Z-Fold Card.
I think you can probably tell now that I went for Summer Holiday as my starting point! The colours here are inspired by a recent trip to the Eden Project in Cornwall, where we saw some gorgeous plants in the Rainforest Biodome, beautiful oranges, pinks and greens. The Timeless Tropical stamp set was just calling out to be used, along with some of the new Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper.
Both the small flowers and the main flower are stamped in Mango Melody and coloured in using the Magenta Madness and Mango Melody Stampin’ Blends, and the leaves are stamped in Garden Green and coloured in with Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. I am really pleased with how they have turned out. The large flower and leaves are fussy cut, and the sentiment in the upper corner is from the Peaceful Moments stamp set.
My Summer Celebration Z-Fold Card is actually quite quick and easy to make. Start with a piece of card measuring 12.5cm x 25cm, and score it on the long side at 6.25cm and 12.5cm. Cut another piece of card measuring 3cm x 25cm and score it on the long side at 6.25cm and 12.5cm as well.
Cut three pieces of a different colour card, one measuring 12cm x 12cm and two measuring 12cm x 5.75cm. Stick these as shown in the picture, onto the three panels of your card. Cut three pieces of DSP too, one measuing 12cm x 3cm and two measuing 5.75cm x 3cm. Stick these onto the panels on the long strip of card.
Take three pieces of Whisper White card, one measuring 11.5cm x 11.5cm and two measuring 11.5cm x 5.25cm. Take the two smaller pieces and make your own DSP by stamping (and colouring if you want to) all over it. Stamp a sentiment into the upper right hand corner of the larger piece and then stick these as shown in the photograph.
Fold the card as shown above (much easier than me explaing it!) and then stick the long strip on, only on the parts that touch the base card, about 2 cm from the bottom. I stamped and coloured in the flower and the leaves, fussy cut them out and then stuck them on with dimensionals. I absolutely love how this turned out, and hope you do too. I have given this card to my boyfriend as a reminder of our lovely little Summer Holiday together.
