Clean and Simple Cardmaking – Be Inspired Blog Hop Jan ’26…

Hello and welcome to the Be Inspired blog hop, where this month we plan to inspire you with clean and simple cardmaking. I’ll admit this isn’t something I am usually very good at – I am more a ‘throw the kitchen sink at it’ kind of crafter, but I love the look of clean and simple cards, so hope I have done a good job here.

I used the gorgeous new stamp set Simply Beautiful for this card, I just love the large images and how they create a really striking focal point for the card. Add some colouring, with Calypso Coral and Petal Pink blends for the flower and Mossy Meadow and Old Olive for the leaves, and I was in my happy place!!

The card itself is a 6″ square card, made using 12″ x 12″ thick white card, you get two cards out of a sheet. I added another clean white layer, which helps the clean and simple look, measuring 5 13/16″ x 5 13/16″.

The Gold Foil square is 4 1/4″ x 4 1/4″ (cut the leaves from the square before layering to save papers!) and the DSP is 4″ x 4″ – meaning you get 9 out of one sheet – this is a great layout for a Christmas Card too, and I reckon this flower would look stunning coloured in red!

The leaf die I used for the Gold Foil is actually from a different set, a new one too, called Nature’s Symphony – I love this one too, it has a great coordinating leaf stamp to go with it.

A few gems and a sentiment were all this card needed to finish it off – I hope it meets the brief of clean and simple – I tried really hard not to add too many layers!

I can’t wait to see what everyone else has made for us this month – please do hop along using the button below and head to the next in line…
