How to make a cute Triangle Treat Box – Creativity Abounds Blog Hop Mar ’25…

Our theme at Creativity Abounds this month is ‘anything but a card’, and I want to share this cute Triangle Treat Box with you. This is one of my favourite little treats to make as it is really tactile and folds flat for storage too!

The Creativity Abounds group come together twice a month, with a blog hop and a tutorial, and this month we are promoting our tutorials, where you can find all of the measurements and instructions (in both imperial and metric) for this Double Corner Easel Card and all the other projects in this hop too.

I designed this treat box to ensure that you can get three from a sheet of A4 card, with no waste at all! I will also give the imperial measurements but you will only get two from a sheet of letter card sadly, but they are still cute and so worth making.

Firstly, score a piece of A4 card stock in half on the short side at 10.5cm (or a piece of letter on the short side at 4 1/4″) Then, on the long side, cut at 9.9cm (4″) and 19.8cm (8″). On the now short side, make a mark at the half way point on either end 4.95cm – basically 5cm (2″). Use a score board, trimmer with scorer or score tool and ruler to score from this mark to the outer edges of the centre score line then fold and burnish.

To decorate, cut two pieces of co-ordinating DSP to 9.4cm x 10cm (3 3/4″ x 4 1/8″). Make a mark at the midway point on the SHORT side at 4.7cm (1 7/8″) and then cut from this point to each opposite corner to make one big and two small triangles. Do this for both pieces of paper.

Stick the paper onto the treat box as shown above and then decorate as you wish. I have used the new Framed Scenes dies, Thankful Garden dies and Textured Notes stamp set to create a focal point in black and silver, with a small sentiment adorning the front of the Triangle Treat Box.

To close the box, watch this short video demonstration where I show you how to punch the holes, thread the ribbon and close the box – it’s much easier to show you than to try to describe it. Simply click the link below…

Here are a couple of teasers of my tutorial project – a book style accordion treat box – so much fun to make and gift. it looks like a book when it is closed!

Thanks for stopping by, until next time, Happy Stamping!

  1. The triangle box is lovely, being just a bit different from the usual treat box shape. Lovely colours you’ve picked too.
