Thank you so much for stopping by my blog, and this hop, where this month we are featuring some lovely colours of autumn. This is not one of my favoured colour palettes but I must say I was pleased with the result in the end!
As soon as I saw the browns and yellows here I immediately thought of leaves, the range of amazing colours that we get through Autumn (or Fall) always delights me, so what better set to work with than the lovely Spotlight on Nature.
The Color Fusers Blog Hop Team come from all over the world, but we have one thing in common and that is that we all love colour, and sharing that with the world. If you are able, I would love for you to have a go making a project with this colour scheme.
The background for this card is made using a blending brush and some Crushed Curry ink. This isn’t my go to yellow but doesn’t it make a really beautiful soft sunny background. On top of the blending I used some of the texture stamps from the stamp set and used the Crumb Cake to lightly stamp (I stamped off first) some texture to make the perfect base for my focal point.
I usually stamp in Black Memento Ink but for this card I decided to stamp in the gorgeous Pecan Pie, as I knew I was going to colour in this colour anyway. I really like stamping in some of our darker colours, it’s a nice change.
To complete this Colours of Autumn card I coloured my images in using the Watercolour Pencils, in both Pecan Pie and Crushed Curry. I love how you can get both really dark and really light colours using the watercolour pencils, and again it makes a change from my usual alcohol markers.
The die I used here is from the die set that coordinates with the stamp set. The dies don’t cut out the flowers (I had to do that by hand!) but it does have a huge array of beautifully decorative circles.
Oh, I should probably add that this card is actually not a full size card, it is one of our pre-cut and pre-scored notecards and envelopes. I sometimes find working on a smaller scale easier, and they make the perfect little thank you card!
Thank you for stopping by, and until next time, Happy Stamping xx

Beautiful shading Heather – those colours are so soft and work really well with the Spotlight images
