This month the Creativity Abounds blog hop team are focussing on fun fold cards, and I have got a great one for you, the flip-flap fun fold. Well, that’s what I am calling it at least!
The Creativity Abounds Blog Hop group consists of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world, and we so enjoy sharing our love of crafting with you all.
As well as monthly blog hops, we also have a monthly tutorial bundle with the same theme, which is where we are hiding the instructions for all of these cards. If you download this tutorial for just £11.50 you’ll have the instructions, in metric and imperial, for 12 gorgeous fun fold cards – how cool is that!
I decided to play with some soon to be released products for this fun fold, though the one in the tutorial is made using the oh so cute Lily Pond Lane papers, with all the sweet ducks! I just love how you can remake these fun folds using whatever papers and colours will best suit your recipient!
I loved the floral patterns in the regal winter suite, especially this Blackberry Bliss design – isn’t it stunning! Rather than pair it with the coordinating stamp set, however, I decided to use the Love and Strength stamp set at the back of the Sep-Dec mini catalogue. You would be forgiven for not seeing it as it is quite hidden there on P62.
I also brought in a super sentiment set, Autumn Expressions, on P37. There are three gorgeous sentiments in the same font as you can see here, and I love what they say. There is this one, and also ‘Change can be Beautiful’ and ‘Grateful for You’. I think these might see a lot of use!
Here is a little video of how the fun fold works. I must say I struggled to stop playing with it once I had made it, so it would be perfect for those tactile or sensory seeking people in your life.
I really hope that we have inspired you with our projects and that you enjoy creating some of them if you do choose to buy the tutorial. Here is a sneak peek of all the other cards. Everyone made two of each fun fold, decorated differently, to give you as many creative ideas as possible.
Thank you so much for stopping by today, I really hope you like the look of the flip-flap fun fold card, and please do check out the rest of the hop too, I know everyone will have some amazing projects for you!
Until next time, Happy Stamping xx

How great is that mechanism?! What fun! And the Regal Winter papers are absolutely amazing, I agree. 🙂
I love the stunning, deep colors you chose. That’s a fun card, too!
