Sweet Sorbet Flower Card – Color Fusers Blog Hop – Mar 2024…

I must say that when I saw our colours for this month’s hop, I was a little stumped, but I am glad that this Sweet Sorbet flower card came to mind, as these colours are perfect for some lovely floral images and this card can be easily replicated I hope.

The Color Fusers are a lovely bunch of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who join together once a month to bring you colour challenges and inspiration using them. This month’s colours are Sweet Sorbet, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party, and I can’t wait to see what you, and the rest of team, create with these colours.

The first thing I did, once I had realised that these colours would work great with flowers, was to go through my paper stash and see which ones features any of these. I stumbled across the Sweet Sorbet in the Bee Mine DSP, with cute white flowers too! I paired this with a Basic White card base and a front panel using the Scalloped Countour dies, cut from Basic White card.

To make the focal point, I pulled out my Enduring Beauty stamps, masks (stencils) and dies. I actually nearly grabbed my Stampin’ Blends, almost forgetting the fact that this stamp set comes with a great set of stencils that makes this set a breeze to colour. I stamped it in Memento Black Ink and then used the challenge colours of Sweet Sorbet, Lost Lagoon and Pool Party to blend ink onto the flowers before cutting it out with the dies.

To finish this Sweet Sorbet flower card I added some Sweet Sorbet gems, ribbon and a small sentiment stamped on the new dies from the Happy Little Things dies. So cute! I hope that you enjoyed seeing how I made this card, and have a go at making something using these colours yourself. In the meantime, how about having a hop around and seeing some of the other creations from the rest of the team!
