Abundant Beauty Christmas Card – Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop Nov ’23…

Hello and welcome to our Stamptastic Friends Blog Hop, and my Abundant Beauty Christmas Card tutorial. Our theme this month is CASE a Stamptastic Friend, and I chose to CASE the lovely Ginny Harrell.

The Stamptastic Friends is a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators from around the world who love to bring you fresh and creative ideas for your papercrafting, you can hop through all of this month’s posts using the links at the bottom of the page.

Here is a picture of Ginny’s card that she made using the Abundant Beauty Decorative Masks, isn’t it gorgeous, and I do love those colours!

I decided to try and keep the layout similar, but totally switch up the colours and the theme of the card, turning it into an Abundant Beauty Christmas card with reds, greens and golds. I sponged the flowers in Real Red ink to make them look a little bit like Poinsettias, and chose Garden Green for my leaves.

The background embossing folder I used was the Snowflake Sky 3D embossing folder onto Basic White cardstock – I thought this would help the flowers to pop whilst still giving some texture to the otherwise quite stark background.

I decided to make a slightly larger than usual card today, and you might see this more from me in the coming year – I really do like a 7″ x 5″ card, and think they look just a little bit more special. The white layer I used was 10cm x 14cm and the gold mat was 10.5cm x 14.5cm.

I layered several of the flowers together, adding some die cut leaves too, in both gold and sponged Garden Green. The dies were from both the Fresh as a Daisy bundle and the Christmas Classics Bundle.

To finish off my card I added a gold ribbon bow, some gold sequins and a sentiment cut into a banner shape. I really like the fact that I can fit a little bit more onto these bigger style cards, with the sentiment able to hang off the edge slightly. I popped a few things up on dimensionals too, to give my Abundant Beauty Christmas Card a little bit of height and depth.

I can’t wait to see all of the other cards and projects that we have in store for you today and hope that you feel inspired by our creations. Please do hop along using the links below.

Until next time, Happy Stamping! xx
