This month’s hop is all about the new 2023 – 2025 In Colors, and I wanted to share how I used two of them to make this masculine themed nature card, perfect for a special guy’s birthday, or even for Father’s Day (18th June in the UK).
I just LOVE the new colour Copper Clay and couldn’t wait to colour the tree trunk of this card in, making it look just like an American Redwood.
One of my earliest memories of childhood is of a gigantic American Redwood tree that was on the way from our house to my school, and I used to admire it every time we went passed it as a kid!
This stamp is from the Growth Takes Time stamp set, a current Online Exclusive, meaning you won’t find it in any catalogue, but it is available to purchase in the usual way for £23 using item code 161497. I stamped it in Memento and then coloured it in using two of the new In Colors, Copper Clay and Wild Wheat.
This masculine themed nature card is destined for my other half, Russ, as a little way of saying thank you for everything that he does for me. He is the head chef in our house, chief laundryman, general DIY person and basically keeps our house going while I run my crafting business – he really is amazing!
The sentiments for this card all come from the brilliant Sentimental Park stamp set – there are so many greeting in this set that there really i bound to be something for most occasions, and the set has been designed to allow you to mix and match them too.
One of the things I most love about Stampin’ Up! is how everything co-ordinated, so the papers you can see here, the cardstock, the colouring pens and the ink pads, are all available in this beautiful Copper Clay colour. No more hunting around for those matching colours!
The other products used in this card can all be found below, with links to take you to my online store should you wish to purchase them, but they include the Timber Embossing Folder and Country Corners bundle, that elegant stitched stamp and die cut panel are from this bundle!
I must admit that making cards for men is one of the harder things for me in crafting, but I hope you like this masculine themed nature card as much as I do, and to see lots more inspiration with the new In Colors, please do have a hop around the rest of the team’s posts to see what they have in store.
Until next time, Happy Stamping xx
