Singing Flamingos – Color Fusers Blog Hop – July ’26

Hello and welcome to this month’s Color Fusers Blog Hop, and I’ve created a fun birthday card with some awesome singing flamingos! I must say, as soon as I saw this colour combo I nearly bowed out of the hop, but perserveered and was pleased with what I ended up with!

Crisp Cantaloupe is one of our new 2026-1018 In Colors and I have really been enjoying using it – more so that I originally thought I would. I wasn’t sure about the pairing with Cloud Cover and Poppy Parade, but they do work, and I am excited to see what everyone else has made for us this month.

This isn’t the first time I have used the fun Birthday Song stamp set, though the first time I coloured them in using Flirty Flamingo. I wasn’t sure how Crisp Cantaloupe would look, but I actually think it is the perfect colour!

The card base is Cloud Cover, as is the blending on the white front, and the notes are also stamped in the same colour too. First time I made this card I didn’t have the blending, but it really helps to ground the flamingos onto the card; without it they just felt a bit stark – like something was missing.

The Designer Series Paper (DSP) that I have used is from the Bloom Boutique pack, it just seemed to go perfectly with the singing flamingos. I also added some of the In Color Pearlised Speciality Paper, to give a touch of shimmer, though you can’t really see it on the pictures sadly.

I have added just a touch of Poppy Parade, in the stamping of the sentiments, and on the background splatters too. I didn’t want to overpower the Crisp Cantaloupe, but needed to include it, lol.
