Hello again my crafty friends, this month’s theme for the Tech 4 Stampers Blog Hop is ‘Sweet Treats’, so I am sharing with you today how to make an Easter Treat – perfect to fit a small filled chocolate egg treat (you know the one’s I mean!!)

Tech 4 Stampers is a wonderful group run by the fabulous Louise Sims, who enables fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators to build their own websites and learn about all things tech related – I personally would be lost without her support and guidance!
I started making my Easter Treat by taking a piece of card measuring 6 1/4″ x 3 1/2″. I scored it on the short side at 3/4″ and 2 3/4″ and on the long side at 3/4″, 2 3/4″, 3 1/2″ and 5 1/2″. I folded and burnished all of these score lines and then cut and notched as you can see in the diagram below.

You will notice that I also cut a circle using the layering circle dies, I used one that measured about 1 1/4″, so the egg sits nicely in it. Once you have cut this, you can assemble this into a box.
Next, take another piece of the same colour card (I have used Daffodil Delight) and cut it to 2″ x 9 1/2″. Score this at just under 3 3/4″ and just over 5 3/4″ – literally just a tiny sliver, the width of a sheet of card. Use the Delightful Tag Punch on both ends of this piece of card and then stick the box you made earlier in between the two score lines.

Use a length of ribbon to attach the ends together and then decorate the front with Designer Series Paper measuring 1 7/8″ x 3 1’4″.
To decorate the front of the Easter Treat I used the gorgeous Flowering Fields DSP, as the colours matched the egg within, and they are just so pretty. The stamp set I used was ‘Lovely You’, as I thought the flower looked a little bit like a tulip! I used my Stampin’ Write markers to colour the stems in Pear Pizzazz and the flowers in Poppy Parade and added a simple greeting stamped onto white card.
