Coloured Florals – Color Fusers Blog Hop – December ’25

Hello and welcome to this month’s Color Fusers Blog Hop, with a slightly unusual (I think anyway!) colour combination, which just called for some coloured florals. This month we are playing with Secret Sea, Cloud Cover and Strawberry Slush – the pop of colour here against the really neutral colours looks fantastic in my opinion.

I decided to play with some new products that will be coming out in January, the Fragrant Layers stamp set, but you can absolutely make this same card with any open flower and leaf stamps that you have – it will work perfectly with so many sets and is really easy to make – all you need is some cardstock, a Secret Sea stamp pad and some Stampin’ Blends alcohol markers in the colours shown above.

The first thing I did was cut a card base from Secret Sea card, and a mat from Basic White cardstock – use your favourite measurements for this. Then simply stamp the open flower and leaf stamp over the white card, then colour in the background with the Secret Sea Dark marker – the dark works best for this. Just go nice and steady!

Once you have coloured in the background, all you need to do is colour the flowers with the Strawberry Slush and the leaves with Cloud Cover – The good thing here is that it doesn’t really matter if you go over the edges a little, so this is the easiest bit!

I left the centre of the coloured florals white, just for a bit of contrast, and I added a simple sentiment on some white card too, with a tiny strip of Strawberry Slush ribbon attached to it. A few gems to finish and that really is it. I kept the decoration nice and simple to really show off the colouring.
