Hello and welcome to this month’s Color Fusers Blog Hop where we are focussing on Autumn themed cards working with the colours Garden Green, Cajun Craze and Basic Beige. As soon as I saw this colour scheme I knew which stamp sets I was going to be playing with, and hope you like the end result.

These are definitely not my go to colours, but sometimes it is good to go out of our comfort zone, and they are perfect for those autumn themed cards, so I tried to embrace it and see where I ended up. I loved using the new Amber Autumn and Etched Autumn stamp sets for this one.
The Etched Autumn is a background stamp, so one huge stamp is all you need to create a great background for your focal point. I decided to use blending brushes to add some Garden Green and Cajun Craze ink to the stamp before stamping onto Basic White cardstock. I love how this two tone look works. To make it less stark, blend some Basic Beige around the outsides before layering to a piece of white and then a Garden Green card base.

To make the focal point, stamp the pumpkins from the Amber Autumn onto some Basic White card, then colour in using Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends and Garden Green watercolour pencil. Pleeeeaaassseee Stampin’ Up! bring out a Garden Green alcohol marker, I need this colour!
I cut out the focal point with a stitched circle from the Stylish Shapes dies, and splattered some ink onto it, again with the Cazun Craze Stampin’ Blends. I wanted a layering circle around this, but didn’t have one the right size, so stuck it onto a piece of Garden Green cardstock and then carefully cut it out with my paper snips. I was really happy with the result.

To finish the card, I stamped a few of the leaves from the acorn stamp in the Amber Autumn stamp set (you can see the images below), blended with some Garden Green ink and fussy cut using snips. A Basic Beige strip of card, some Basic Beige ribbon and a few of the most gorgeous Cazun Craze and gold gems were all that was needed to finish this card off.
Thank you for stopping by, please do have a hop around for more Autumn themed cards, and until next time, Happy Stamping xx
